I forget where on the site it was mentioned, but I'm posting it here. Someone wondered whether Mac was going to hammer Bernstein and/or Spiegel over this incident. How could he? He's the same guy who's been making fun of Shelly Smith's appearance and calling Peggy Kusinski "Ruth Buzzi" for however many years. Would be kind of hypocritical, no?

Hasn't his argument always been that once you go on camera you're fair game? Not that I agree with that, but I believe that's what Mac has always preached.

A bit, but it's still especially bad for Bernstein to call someone in the same profession (and market) literally just a pair of tits and that it makes her work meaningless. Saying someone is attractive/ugly to just say so, with no real impact on her work, isn't as bad, IMO.

That's what still sticks out for me, and why this supposed CSN boycott of WSCR guests is pretty appropriate and meaningful. Like, will Mark Schanowski go on Spiegel/Goff next week with that kind of transgression between their respective coworkers?

I get the guy radio part, but to me, banging on someone's looks is an easy go to. Come up with something better. That's not to say when with friends, we don't talk about crap like that, but we don't have a public forum with however many people listening to us. Maybe I'm a hypocrite, too, but I think it's different than doing it on the radio.
