But I will say that there are some very intelligent people and political minds that believe Dems and Republicans are nearly identical, so I think to say "anyone who says that is an idiot" is a little much

Good post, good thoughts, I agree with much of it.

By the way, I don't think that you're an idiot that should stop talking.

That's fine. I disagree with guys who are very intelligent political minds, too.

At the end of the day, I think we can agree it's best to judge each situation on it's own merit regardless of party affiliation and we agree on this one so let's high five it out!

To be honest, I would shop there sometimes for stuff on the way home from weekend getaways because a lot of their stuff is less taxed (cheaper)

But it's not enough savings to override my belief system

Well, not so fast .

There is still the matter of Chus saying that you're an idiot who should stop talking....

So let us save those high fives, OK?

I addressed that twice in my posts.

But I am very much against stumping for one party so if Chus and I agree on the topic, then we agree.

If he thinks Im an idiot who should stop talking (pretty sure he doesnt) then Ill have to live with that.

Does Indiana still host that "Nudes-a-Poppin" get together every summer? Used to see ads for it in the back pages of the Sun Times back in the mid to late 90s. You could go and interact with Ron Jeremy and whatever flavor of the month was appearing. Probably gonna lose whatever revenue that smutfest generated. Nice work, Indiana.

What does the law state that is the issue?

Cant find the text of the bill but this is the troubling issue summed up as a positive by some of it's supporters....

Conservative groups backing the bill have said it merely seeks to prevent the government from compelling people to provide such things as catering or photography for same-sex weddings or other activities they find objectionable on religious grounds.

From the same article...

Salesforce.com founder and CEO Marc Benioff announced on Twitter that he was canceling all programs that require its customers or employees "to travel to Indiana to face discrimination."

The San Francisco-based company bought Indianapolis-based marketing software company ExactTarget for $2.5 billion in 2013 and has kept hundreds of employees in the city. A company spokeswoman declined to elaborate on Benioff's statement.

Allen later told the Arizona Capitol Times that she wished things were more like they were in the 1950s.

Apparently that idiotic quim doesn't realize that if it were like the 50s, aside from the great freedom to shove blacks to the back of the bus with a billy club, she wouldn't have had a chance in hell of having her current job ... on the other hand, if it were like the 50s she would clearly know her place is in the home and maybe even reminded once in a while after a brief chat with the back of the hand as a reminder to "zip it, Caller Bob", so there's that.

So you have a problem with a private caterer that doesn't want to provide services to something they disagree with on religious grounds?

Btw, if you live in IL, then you live in a state that already has a law like this.

Are you close to WI for your shopping needs?

Yes.

The same way I would have a problem with them refusing service based on race or height or hair color due to their "religious beliefs"

The Ponderosa Sun Club. Some of my friends used to go there for Nudes-a-Poppin. The Hedgehog posed for a picture with my buddy.
