This incident serves as a gross reminder that women continue to fight everyday to be treated equally. My female colleagues share my frustration in knowing the sports industry presents us with challenges of equality in an arena that is often filled with misogyny.

We seek the same footing, but when ignorant comments are shared it shifts the business in the wrong direction.

Sexual harassment is never acceptable and as journalists we are all responsible for setting a better example when utilizing a platform that reaches the masses. We should all be held accountable for our actions.

Dan does not care about the feelings of the people he targets.

Also... Is anyone with children suddenly above being held accountable for their actions because their children shouldn't suffer?

Sure. No one wants the kids to suffer for their fathers inappropriate behavior. But that doesn't insulate Dan from accountability.

There were some in this thread hoping for Bernstein and his kids to be living under a viaduct. That goes way beyond accountability for one's actions.

it'll be business as usual only if he's taking up a cause, and we'll see* if he has the same inflated self-importance towards those as before.

This is on his permanent record and his google resume, both of which are HUGE DEALS to any media person but especially Bernstein.

Denying this was a big deal is silly.

Good, let's move the fuck on from this. It was fun, though, no doubt. This thread is a piece of work.

I'm sure there is some national show looking to put him into a starring role but they'll google him and see he remarked about the boobs of a woman on television and they will decide he isn't the man for them.

RPB won't be happy until it reaches 50 pages. He'll figured out some way of dragging it on.

Almost nothing happened to him!

It's more than fair to think this wasn't a big deal. If you think this is going to ruin the rest of his life go ahead. I'm pretty sure he'll pretty much just go on as normal.

Right, except tons of national media picked it up and ran stories on it and he had to do the first public apology of his career. Totally, no big deal.

Ive actually spoken out AGAINST the weird quest to get him in trouble this thread took. Did you?

Why are you such a dick sometimes?

You used to be a great poster. Then some people started noticing how good you were and you went from creative, intelligent and hilarious, to kinda creative, still intelligent, but mostly just kinda miserable.

Whatever the reason is, it sucks.
