I dont like Easter and Im always jacked for the Sunday night opener so it's perfect for me.

Some of these guys were beefing "WHAT ABOUT LIN BREHMER AT YAK-ZIE'S????" I think he's gonna be there. But I guess it just isn't the same at night. Also, several of them are Catholics who apparently don't feel they will have sufficient time to celebrate the Resurrection.

Much less cool was the time the Marlins scheduled a home series in Seattle because there was going to be a concert at Dolphin Stadium and they didn't want to bother scheduling around it, so they just gave up and played their home games in the other team's park.

the coolest was when a super-early-season series of LAA @ CLE was snowed the fuck out of cleveland and moved out to miller park who closed off the upper decks and the bleachers (except for the cleveland drum guy, who they let me back to there to meet and greet with for an inning) and all of the tickets were $10 first come first serve so i had my feet up on dugout roofs for 3 days in a row at a truly cutrate price.

of course vlad's a proper Caller Bob about signing things so i never got my expos shit signed. lackey was cool as hell tho he'd just keep on bullshitting with you giving you his thoughts on the britney spears crisis of the day and whatnot.

IIRC that marlins expos thing was 2004 and vlad was gone and i was just kind of stunned and saw the writing on the wall that they were fucked and i dont think i even bothered. nothing will beat proper expos @ comiskey memories like vlad taking a vaginal keith foulke get-me-over fastball so deep i think he broke a window of a robert taylor home

man i was out in NYC when that went down cuz it was a weekend in sept 2008 when both the mets and yankees were in town so me and the baseball uncle flew out and did a doubleheader with johan santana pitching @ shea on saturday (they even gave me a camo mets hat for my trouble) and then we did yankees stadium on sunday where i saw david price's MLB debut.

we get back to the hotel that night and sunday night baseball was goofy cuz we had a monsoon out here and i think it was a white sox game and it was messed up, so when we get back to the hotel they're showing a cubs/astros makeup game of sorts and whaddya know my favorite damn pitcher of all time chuckles "dinner and a show" zambrano is spinning a no hitter.

that was one hell of a baseball weekend, let me tell you.

It was. I was there at both of those games (button 48). Saw a banner that said 'you can put it on the board, oui' and sat next to some dudes who were yelling "BASKET CATCH" at then Expos first base coach Jerry Morales.

Fun Fact from that Hurricane series, Josh Beckett was the first and so far only pitcher to get a hit at New Comiskey/US Cellular Field.
