Yeah I think that's the way I'd go too. Don't get me wrong; viscerally there's a big part of me that would love to banish Kate from this plane of existence (I love mocking chicks who can't talk mid-coitus) and have her end up somewhere around the year 2024, but given what i've seen of both of them I think I'd actually dig Rooney as a person considering that Kate gives me this vibe like she's the end result of a long and storied lineage of regal kinda-inbreeding.
