That's interesting considering most of my friends and nearly all of my family members are Cub fans.

Subconsciously or not, you want to join them. There is no way you can be this involved and not care.

Really? Boilermaker Rick and I talk about Jay Cutler nearly every day. And we're not fans of Jay Cutler. Or each other.

See, I don't think that is the case.

When you're here, you just make low-hanging fruit comments, take shots at the Cubs fan posters, and troll. You don't care much at all. You're a Sox fan.

JORR cares about the Cubs, their moves, their organization, their image.

Are you calling me a Cub fan? I'd rather you just called me a Caller Bob.

hey JORR with cookie on exile how does it feel to be the second hottest chick on the board?

that's right, i'm going to start up the board meme that you're a female cubs fan. and i'm really sorry if my stupid deleted thread offended you as a strong black woman.

I don't mean to speak for JORR, but I think he just has a healthy respect for the Cubs and Wrigley Field.

If Cubs fans like IMU don't care at all about Wrigley we need people to step up to defend it.

You can be both.
IMU is right though, you really, really care about the Cubs.

in england this called "why are you so obsessed with liverpool?"

btw, a wise man on a manchester united forum ~4 years ago said this and it very much applies here:

the truth wrote:
Fact is fans like to take the piss out of their rivals as much as possible, it's ingrained into football culture. Complaining about how often the other fans do it just seems like a completely pointless part of this cycle.

Well that's better than the Nation of Beef-a-roo.

Were they up in arms when the Sox tried to make Comiskullar look more like Wrigley with the shrubbery and what not?

You think that's what they were trying to do? In any case, those shrubs are kind of dumb.

Didnt work with them then.

One of them is a true Cub hater (talks way more about Cubs than Sox and openly admits media coverage bothers him). The other one takes ball busting shots at Cubs but nothing more.

I remember Jurko going on about it one day in a comedic tone, which is also the way I look at it. I don't know if that was the intent, but I do think the park looks much better than it did before the cosmetic changes. All subjective though.
