I know quite of few of those types. Hate or cheer whoever you want, but I never understood why the Cub bothered them so much. Especially back in the years when they didn't play each other. And I'm talking adults here. I can see kids getting worked up over their favorite teams, but grown men and women getting their blood pressure up near dangerous levels because more people like another team? That's loco man.

one time outside of a bar i had a homeless/ish guy getting pretty physically aggro-crazy with me so i decided to show him what the essence of crazy was and i promptly extended my arms out like jesus and walked backwards across a busy ~40mph street without ever turning to look for traffic while screaming "IF GOD WANTS ME HE CAN TAKE ME NOW!!!! COME GET ME GOD I'M RIGHT HERE FOR YOU!!!!" a few cars had to jump lanes to avoid me, but i didn't break my stride.

having survived that i quickly went back across the street and went up to the guy and said "...so what have you got for me?" the dude pulled a spmack and was like "HEY LOOK EVERYONE THIS GUY IS CRAZY!!!!!" but people were just kind of not really paying too much attention so he ended up wandering off to go bother some other people. my job there was done.

On Saturday I couldn't see the flight of either KB home run as the sun was glaring in Right Field bleachers. Luckily, the Cubs installed a JUMBOTRON! They were able to post a replay and I could see what happened! A great concept! My Wrigley experience was actually improved!!!!

The crying over the installation of the screen may have been an overreaction! Who didn't see that coming?!?!?!

The Harry image highlighted the ridiculous size of that screen. Gaudy.

"Cubs' plan to move the Wrigley Field bullpens to an enclosed area under the bleachers has been pushed back until 2017.

"The home and visiting bullpens will remain in place for next season," the team said in a statement. "Our plan is to complete the permanent below-grade batting tunnels before moving bullpens."

Underground batting cages will be built next to the new Cubs clubhouse, which is under construction and slated to be ready for opening day of 2016.

But because visiting teams won't have their underground cages ready for use by then, both teams will continue to use the small, outdated cages underneath the left- and right-field bleachers next season, meaning there will be no room for the new bullpens.

The Wrigley bullpens have been located down the first- and third-base foul lines for decades, giving fans close proximity to pitchers as they warm up. But the Cubs decided to add seats down the lines in their ongoing renovation and have cited safety issues as a reason for the bullpen switch.

The Cubs won city approval last year to move the bullpens under the bleachers with minimal alterations to the outfield doors, allowing bullpen members to watch the game through small openings. The team abandoned a proposed plan for more extensive changes in the doors after resistance from City Hall because of the potential loss of the iconic ivy covering the outfield walls.

Cubs pitchers have expressed mixed feelings about the bullpen move, which will put relievers much farther from the action but protect them from the elements."

Having the bullpens under the bleachers is a Wrigley modification I actually do like. I always thought it would look cool for relief pitchers to enter through the outfield doors.

Amazing that even with the Bleachers not ready at the beginning of the year, the Cubs will draw over 3 million fans this season.
