The Sox just received a $3.2M clubhouse paid by taxpayers. I didn't know the about the project until like 3 days ago.

Not much outcry for preservation or ruining tradition with that renovation. Or that it cost taxpayers $3.2 million bucks.

The Sox don't own U.S. Cellular Field. The Illinois taxpayers do. Congratulations on your brand new clubhouse!

Right, I'm fully aware of the arrangement.

I am just very confused on the microscope put onto Ricketts and Wrigley when Reinsdorf has bilked millions with his White Sox deals.

Yet, there's a larger outcry over thrown away cards and missing hot dog buns than another $3 million extorted from the state and subsequently flushed down the toilet to renovate a park no one wants to attend.

The outcry was coming from Cubs fans!

You don't cry when a guy that has never played a fucking big league game gets more ink than a guy who is probably the best hitter in the American League. Stop whining.

I am simply pointing out the difference.

Jerry extorts $7M to pay for a restaurant in which he keeps all the profits? Ah, aw shucks, that our guy Jerry!

While Ricketts wants to install a Jumbotron and there's an uproar he's assaulting a Chicago treasure.

It isn't really "Aw shucks", it is more "That is how it is, and the White Sox are not really unique or egregious in this."

Wrigley is a Chicago treasure, and the jumbotron will drastically change it.

Why would you think Trout was a better hitter than Abreu? Abreu was better than Trout last season. He got on more and he slugged more.

Correct, it'll be drastically better. Glad we agree.
