The Cubs seemed one bat short last night with plenty of guys on base and nobody driving them in. I think the game would have been different with Brant in there yesterday. So, thank Theo for his purely baseball decision.

It's not about the playoffs. It's about Theo's Plan and revenue streams

Five hits and two walks - that's plenty of baserunners?

Don't let facts get in the way, Steve. Don't forget, a team whose supposed best player is in the minors will somehow miss the playoffs by one game.

What also might make a difference is the above average glove work at 3rd of a Olt or Jonathan Herrera. (I'm hoping to see Jonathan Herrera also get some time at 3rd.)

Is missing the playoffs by one game a fact?
Is Bryant being the best player a fact?
The only fact here is it is very hard to score a run when only seven batters reach first base.
Don't let your opinions get in the way, Dolphin.

This will move the meter to 2 if they don't win today. Runners on 1st and 3rd with one out with the 4th spot coming up and they can't score

And Coughlan scorched a line drive right at the fielder.
I am sure that Bryant would have put it out of the yard.

You say that as if he couldn't.

However, to respond to your ignorance directly, Bryant would be in the 4th spot and all he would have had to do was hit a fly ball.

To respond to your arrogance directly, is it guaranteed that Bryant would be batting fourth?
Castro was in the four hole and whiffed. Bryant strikes out at Castro's rate, doesn't he?

Yes, while not guaranteed, it is a highly probably he would bat in a power position before Castro.

Bryant doesn't have a rate as he hasn't played a game in the majors.

It doesn't help your argument to hide your head in the sand.

Clean-up hitter Starlin Castro knocks in Anthony Rizzo from second base with a single.
Damn, if Bryant would have made the roster, he'd be batting fourth instead of Castro and he would have hit a three-run homer instead, right, Dolphin?

Yeah, I guess.
I just have a hard time understanding why someone would waste so much time posting stupid shit.

In my experiences I've found that you just tell people drugs and its like "AHA THATS WHAT IT WAS!!!" and life goes on (assuming you don't mind giving everyone a go-to thing to slag you with for the rest of time)

ON TOPIC = today when soler tripled and rizzo was unintentionally intentionally walked you likely have 2 at bats with better pitches to hit if babe Bryant is batting cleanup.....#ImJustSayin.........#Rosemont

I say it's at zero. Bryant would have been due for a 0-4 day with two errors, causing the Cubs to lose.

Bryant's towering fly ball uppercut swing doesn't translate well to Wrigley in April. Let's be honest with ourselves. While his Spring Training was fantastic and he will be a very good to great major league hitter, many of those hits / home runs were probably outs at Wrigley in April.

Again, the Cubs made the correct decision, in every way.

Same reason you have a radio show: I and a few people enjoy my work.

As masturbatory as it may be, I find it enjoyable. What other reason do I need?

The better question is why do you read it?
