They made something happen alright.

This is a brutal White Sox team. I can see that already. Just not good.

C'mon. Its two games. The Sox were down 4 different times in this game and took the lead once and tied it twice. You can't say its the same shit as last year, because last year the game would have been over when Hosmer put the Royals up 4-3.

Putnam gave up the go ahead HR, but this loss in on Quintana. Working slower than Contreras used to, and then hitting guys so he couldn't pitch inside. Throw strikes, attack hitters, and he probably doesn't give up the gopher ball to Hosmer.

Yeah, it's two games, but you can see the same damn problems they've had for the last several years.

First, and most importantly, you can't make two outs on the goddamn bases every fucking game. It's just ridiculous.

Second, the have a lot of losing starting pitchers. If you have a real good team, maybe you can score enough to carry one of those guys, but to have three of them who are just almost always going to give the runs right back as soon as their guys give them the lead, it's fucking demoralizing for the team.

And the bullpen is still terrible. They way overpaid for Robertson and the Zach Duke Project.

Everyone has a plan until they get punched in the mouth.

It didn't work. RIP 2015 White Sox.

I don't want to get too stupid after just two games. My point is that the same things that made them hard to watch last season are present and accounted for in the first two games of 2015.

John Danks has an excellent career record against the Royals and a particularly good record in KC. The W flag will be up before most of us leave the office today

He does but they still lost 2 of the 3 games he started against KC last year

I do think they'll win today though

This is what I was saying before the season started and I was flamed by some people. Arbreu is a stud and so is Sale. Add Rodon and you have a great starting point for a rebuild.

Like JORR said you have alot of losing pitchers and they need something to push them to the positive side of W/L's. A bad defense, bullpen and bad base runners are not going to get it done. If they had upgraded the defense and brought a stud to hit next to Abreu, then you have something. But they didn't do either and you are only slightly better then last year.

I was really hoping both teams would be good this year. It makes the summer fun, when both teams can trash talk each other, however I think it may be awhile before the Sox can do much trash talking. They remind me of the Sosa cubs, only replace Sosa with Abreu and the Cubs actually remind me of the great sox teams of the 90's. Young stars coming up mixed with a few free agents signings. I loved watching the Whitesox in the 90's McDowell, Ozzie, Ventura, Frank, Thigpen exc exc. and I am starting to get that same feeling about the upcoming Cubs teams.

Let's not bury Robertson before he's had a chance to pitch. The lack of command from the pitching staff is something I desperately wanted to see fixed and looks to have gotten worse.

I think LaRoche will be fine. He's a really underrated guy. He's Anthony Rizzo. Same damn player except he's done it longer. The problem is that sillyball is taking men off the bases before Abreu and LaRoche get up to the plate.

I dont have an issue with running at times.

I do have an issue with running on Perez.

LaRoche is perpetually underrated. I bet he hits 30 homers this year.

There are situations when running is appropriate. Since the Sox have no clue when that actually is, I would prefer they just stand on the bases and wait for one of their sluggers to drive them in. I think they have enough bats to do that.

Laroche is also typically a slow starter.

Danks throws a gem today (as much of a gem as Danks can throw anyway) and the Sox win by at least 3 runs.
