I'm not anti-Soler. I think he'll produce offense. He is what he is. I would expect him in left eventually with Bryant likely in right. Nobody will have better outfield arms on both corners. Some flyballs might be adventures though. But I do think Bryant is a good enough athlete that he will be able to play the outfield more than adequately.

I don't remember Soler being bad last season. I do remember Alcantara trotting after a ball over his head. I think Soler will be adequate in RF.

I think he's always taken strange routes.

Anyway, elite outfield defense can help a team immensely (2005 White Sox, 2014 Royals, etc.), but it's not really necessary if you're slugging the shit out of the ball.

Yeah, I like Soler a lot as a hitter.

I can't do April 17. I'm actually going with a friend that day. She is moving to Memphis and it's her last Chicago hurray. I would meet you for pre or post on Friday if you know where you're gonna be. Other than that, I can make almost any game.
