No one can make a case for it being a good movie, but Stallone can write some good stuff.

I won't stand for the badmouthing of Stallone or Arnold the movie stars. That's my childhood. As for having the top down, Tommy Gunn was living by his own rules at that point. If he wants the top down then the top is down. The redhead wasn't going to question it. Tommy was the gravy train and you don't question the gravy train. If we're going the route of how, how did Lane Meyer get into Dodger Stadium with the French girl. I mean, they didn't even get real drugs there but he pulled that stunt off..

Tommy was a moron.

Im not badmouthing Stallone, Im holding him to the STALLONE STANDARD (tm)

The top down thing is a movie mistake. It would be like if he was working out with his left arm in Over the Top

Lane had a lot of friends for a loser. His dad was connected with Porky. He knew the guy in the ski shop, who was a former Olympian.

Im sure either of those guys could get the Dodger stadium thing done with relative ease.

The question is, did Roy Stalin bang Dotty after the dance? The answer is Yes.

Roy Stalin is the only 80s movie bad guy who couldnt have been played better by William Zabka

And before you or anyone asks, Buddy Revell parked in front of the school because he could. Are you going to tell him to move it? Dude was knocking full grown men as a high-schooler.

Love Cobra.

Tommy Gunn wanted that top down. La Onda don't shine shoes and Stallone doesn't make mistakes.

You're correct about Lane and his family connections. I'll let the Dodger Stadium thing pass. Hell if you can ski the K12 you can do anything!

Roy Stalin was and is a badass. If you look closely, even Lane's best friend Charles de Mar is in awe of and has an affinity for him. Roy could've banged anybody associated with the Basketball team and suffered no repercussions. Any of Zabka's characters would have shown him proper respect. If you think about it, Roy Stalin should've been the one to take over the Alpha Betas after Stan Gable.

Absolutely. Trying to squeeze Bradley Whitford into that role was awful. It ruined the Nerds and Whitford's career.

Nearly took down my girl CTS, but luckily she escaped relatively unharmed.

How has Summer School not been remade yet?

Who would fill the Harmon role? And when you think about it, that movie had quite a few mature and dark things going on. You have the critique on the education system. Reiner hits his scratch off and is out. Screw the kids. Then there's Chainsaw and Dave being alcoholics among other things. How about Harmon letting a young female student move in with him? Pregnancy and adoption for a young mother. Larry the underage stripper has an encounter with his mother and aunt feeling him up at the strip club. Kevin the football player who's Dad was only concerned about getting him back on the team. Eakian wasn't accepted by his own grandmother because he wasn't smart enough for her. Lot a things going on in that flick.

Oh, and it's directed by Carl Reiner.

Good points all around. And the Vice Principal was great. Was literally hoping all those kids and their teacher failed. Good stuff.

They can try to make all the purposely dark comedies they want, they will never touch the darkness surrounding MOST 80's movies.

The Summer School things you mentioned
Cobra Kai's repeated attempts at murdering Daniel
Mick admitting that his dad killed Scott's mom like it's no big deal, in Teen Wolf

The list goes on and on

But Im truly surprised it hasnt been remade yet. With like Chris Pratt or Joel Mchale as the teacher.

So pissed they are doing a sequel instead of an Apollo prequel which would be fucking awesome.

And Stallone really did post the ending on Twitter, accidentally.

The previews indicate Rocky has cancer. Which was mentioned on the page in Stallone's tweet.

Three O'Clock High! Never see it talked about much but I grew up watching it. I think my old man taped it on cable. It has an unusual sense of humor, kind of like a Savage Steve Holland movie.

It was very unique but it reminded me of being back in HS. There was always 3 or 4 guys that looked like they were in their 20's.
