The season has been superb so far but last night was a bit of a bump in the road, I thought.

Still...I'm pumped to see how they end this. At this point, I think Ava dies, Boyd dies, Raylan goes to Florida.

I agree, that might've been the worst Justified episode in years.

I am starting to think that we may have one more Boyd and Raylan team up in the series to eliminate a mustacheless Sam Eliot.
The way Eliot was talking last night about the problem being the marshal or the criminal that they have to take care of.

I was out of town last week, so I just caught up with the episode. That was great but I felt sad for Choo Choo. The mentally challenged characters on this show always end up getting the shaft, I was sort of hoping that he would be the exception.

Yeah, I liked him in the short time we knew him. Thought he might be able to get on the good side, or get away before doing anything terrible.

Ah well.

I think the show will end with Boyd going down for Dewey's murder.

If not, then why did they make a big deal out of showing the barkeep pick up Dewey's necklace off the floor and hang it up on a hook above the bar the episode after Dewey was killed? Obviously that necklace will come back into play at some point this season.

I think it was a bad idea bringing the baby to the office, especially considering who Art was talking to.

This last episode was a bit slow. I am still liking this season but just not sure where it is all heading. Seemed odd that Raylan would bring his
daughter to the office.

What a great season this has been so far. Last week was a little slow and probably the worst ep of the year but this week was crackling.

Great scenes all through with Boyd, Ty, Raylan, Art...everybody. I really have no idea who is going to make it out of this.

The Boyd/Raylan scene was great. "I gotta admit. There's a small part of me that's gonna miss this when it's over."

I can't tell what Ava is playing. Seems like she's playing both sides until she sees who's going to win. It was surprising to hear that Raylan has her pegged as burnt already. Great show.

My favorite episode of this season. Great dialogue and acting throughout. 5 episodes left.

Kind of a let down episode after last week but the writing and acting continues to be very good this season. I sure didn't see
The Lawnmower Man turning heel there at a crucial moment. I've always liked the Duffy character so the twist in his storyline
should prove to be interesting as things wind down.

That new creepy dude who showed up last night better not be the one who takes Raylan down. I think the writers are smarter than that, but I'll be pissed if he does.

I've come to grips that if Raylan dies, let it be Boyd who does it. Anyone else, and I've got a problem with it. I still hope Raylan lives, but that's the only out they have for this fan here.

That certainly seems like what they want you to think. Seems a little forced that they bring in a quick-draw artist out of nowhere but...whatever.

I do appreciate his creepiness, though.

But, if they were going to go the classic Western route, it's got to be the "dumbass amateur" that takes down the hero. I don't know who that would be - Boyd's dumbass henchman, Earl?, the one Boyd "squeezed his nuts into paste".

How did you not see the heel turn? Him throwing that other dude down the well didn't do anything for ya? He heel turned at that moment.

Also, I'm getting pretty sick of the actor who plays Wynn Duffy trying to show the viewers how non-skinny he really is. He must be sick of people calling him pencilneck or something. Those old-guy, wiry, veiny, LeePressOn Muscles look gross as fuck. You know dude just did a few cycles in the offseason to try and look tough. Now they are just forcing that shit.

Duffy is a surfer in real-life.

They said they wanted to have a way to explain why he's so tan living in a Winnebago in the backwoods of Kentucky.

Maybe I am just dumb but I didn't see the guy turning on Boyd at that point and trying to kill him. Maybe after they had the money I could see it but not at that point.

The creepy guy looks a little too much like Jim Varney.
Also, I didn't expect Duffy to be the rat, but thinking about the character throughout the series, it makes a bit of sense.

I thought the same thing. But I don't think that's the type of guy they'd use to take down Raylen. Raylen would always have his guard up around a guy like that. Ava, on the other hand.....

One of the best tv shows I've ever had the pleasure of watching. We truly are in the golden age of television.

As for the young gun, doesn't it have to go down this way? In legend, how many old gunslingers are there? Someone always want's a shot at the title. And with Raylan's woman and daughter back in his life full time, he's going to lose some edge isn't he? Once you lose just a bit of focus the younger, faster version takes you out.

Ultimately, I think Raylan gets the same 24 hour ultimatum he gave the guy in Miami. Back to where it all started and such.

I don't think Raylan dies.

But, if he does, it can only be from Boyd or Ava...possibly Loretta.

But really only Boyd IMO.

I'm with the good doctor, quite naturally. Season 2 is in the TV hall of fame, but all the rest have been good to great.

Season 2 is all-time great.

Some other seasons have been fun. But this is the only one to rival 2 - pending the final 4.

you know, i never really watched this show but i've made it a point to try and catch some of it as everything wraps up this year (plus i'm a sucker for anything sam elliott related).

is this a show that i need to go back and watch all 5+ seasons on, or can i cherrypick the last few episodes here and be around for when the shit hits the fan and be properly entertained?

Go back.

You can skip season 5.

Season 1 is a villain of the week kind of thing but it sets the characters.

Season 2 is nearly the greatest single season of any series ever.

This season has rivaled season 2.
