Thome for Rowand was a great trade, Big Jim carried that team at times and kept them in the race when they should have faded.

Even if they had someone a station or two about Anderson that still wouldn't have been able to get over that bullpen and regressed starting pitching.

Bigfan will be here soon to let us all know that Anderson was KENNY'S GUY

He was everyone's guy, let us not forget that he did show promise are first.

He had poor work ethic and never fixed his swing, still hit plenty of doubles for the amount of playing time he got...I think.

I liked his glove. Did not like his attitude or swing. When a career 2B is stealing playing time from you by the end of the year, you know you aren't the answer.

But he was KENNY'S GUY! Kenny scouted him in AZ! Bigfan knows about it.

Ian Kinsler will get hurt, as he always does. Cabrera will pull a hamstring, or some fat, and miss some time. That bullpen is going to blow a lot of games.

if you remember, they had 3 CF prospect in Anderson, Sweeney and that guy who was pretty decent for Arizona for a few years. KW traded away the two guys who actually had some kind of MLB career to clear the path for Anderson. KW also traded away Mc Carthy because he was Anderson's drinking buddy and they were more interested in partying than playing.

Chris Young, dealt for Javier "One Bad Inning" Vazquez. It pissed all of Sox nation right off, people were ready to crucify him for that trade. Aside from the Reed/Morse for Garcia trade might be the angriest I've seen Sox fans.

It did wind up being a bad trade because Young was fantastic in '10 and '11 and the guys they kept instead **sucked ass**, but the Sox didn't give up a HoF like some were convinced.

Also, Chris Young was the final straw for me to finally accept that Billy Beane really likes players that are drafted by the White Sox.

The anger was also magnified because during Young's best years, the Sox were stuck with with a CF who could field but not hit (Anderson), and a career backup at corner OF and infield positions constantly butchering balls in CF (Mackowiak).

Javy Vasquez is one of those guys who looks great on paper, but when you needed him to step up and win a big game he shrivels up faster than George did in the pool.

He described himself as proud white trash to a girl I used to work with. What a character!

Kinsler played 161 games last year and was great. He's been pretty health the last 4 years.

Agree on rest

Javy was a ball buster, remember when he had that "Inning 5 Curse" where no matter how he was killing batters he always got into trouble at the point in time? I also remember that 3 Run bomb he gave to Curtis Granderson in Detroit when the Sox and Tigers were in a divisional battle....mentally weak.

And in 2006, the Sox still won 90 games after starting out 2-4. Same record as this year's club after 6 games, for those Cubs fans who care so much.

^^THIS.

Detroit has some bats, but that never sustains a team. They also can't field and I don't believe in their bullpen.
KC scares the crap out of me. They proved to be good last year and may yet to peak.

I do the think the Sox improved, but I'm guessing it's not enough.

Tigers are going to win a lot of regular season games but the issues mentioned by American and WD will prevent them from winning anything in October.

Unless they make some acquisitions

I just looked it up. He has played more games than I thought. It just always seems like he is injured.

He used to be a little hurty in the Rangers years.

Kansas City begins their cool down by losing a series to the lowly Twins.

Joe Nathan is out for the season with a torn UCL.

I would say the Tigers just got a lot better but Joakim Soria is fucking hopeless. Let the feast begin!
