Kris Bryant is no ordinary ballplayer.

No. Wins or losses are irrelevant to whether he would have made a difference.

Interesting. All that crying and bullshit over, what we pretty much all said all along, nothing.

The crying and bullshit in this thread was by Cub defenders. It didn't take much effort on my part.

Meter is at 2 in 8 games. I hope the Cubs don't miss the playoffs by 2 or less games.

So the Cubs gained 162 games at a controlled salary in exchange for 0 games risked.

The Cubs are 5-3. You're saying the Cubs should be 7-1, and by consequence admitting they are a great team? Now that Bryant is here, they should be truly dominant? I am just trying to understand your angle.

Also, if the Bryant meter is at 2 from 8 missed games, what kind of historic WAR is that? Revolutionary I'd say.

If Bryant is truly worth 2 wins every 8 games just by himself, he may be the most valuable baseball player ever. I guess this is great news.

The meter does not consider those irrelevancies. The meter has no angles, agendas or biases.

The meter is not a predictor of future. It is a recorder of past.

Rick, can you explain it to these people. I'm becoming fatigued

Those with closed minds will never understand it.

They see what you post and immediately just go with the opposite.

How dare you think Bryant could have helped them win games they otherwise lost! Why does good dolphin hate the Cubs?

Agreed. Doing some baseball prospectus level projections here I have Bryant with 38.5 WAR once the season ends.

I knew dolphin secretly bled cubbie blue but even I'm not that optimistic.

I pray to baby jesus he's right. If he is, he's going to be worth 40 extra wins this season. Since I'm sure GD's model needs a little tweaking since it's new, let's go on the safe side and assume KB will only be worth an additional 30 wins. That's fair.

You know JORR is going to take us seriously, right? "Those idiot Cubs fans think Bryant is worth 38.5 wins!" #BabeFuckingRuth

I brought in donuts from Do-Rite yesterday for a co workers birthday. They were glorious. I really appreciate their model in being an "artisan" type donut producer who doesn't treat their consumer's buying their product like it is an appointment with the queen.

However, I can feel a little pain in the toe today and a second day of heavy sweets would probably usher in a gout attack. No paczki for me.

I hope they're out of contention by May and play Baez, Addison et al. This early success is not good.

It took you six days to answer and then you do it after they announce today's starting line-up?
Why don't you predict today's score?
Maybe you can come on and post it around 6:00 this evening?

I predicted the spot in the lineup more than a week ago which resulted in you asking the question. The truth of my statement couldn't be confirmed until Maddon put him in the lineup.

Silly troll dolphin gets proven correct again.

Lucky for you this isn't the dolphin-is-correct-O-Meter.

So does this take the meter down one? Or does that not fit your narrative?
