Wood had better stuff than Buehrle. That's only a small part of the pitching equation.

Any sane baseball person would take Buehrle over Wood as their starting pitcher. It's a ridiculous comparison.

I'm sorry.

ERA, ERA+, and FIP are pretty clear. Do you want to dispute these as valid statistics for a starting pitcher? What statistics are more useful?

Even JORR, the guy who believes pitcher wins are the best statistic to judge a pitcher's performance, stated ERA+ was a decent statistic.

But then there's 1998 Kerry wood and rest of his career Kerry wood.

I'd take 1998 Kerry wood over buehrle. Call me insane

I'm on the bottom of the bus like Keanu Reeves trying to diffuse the "Theo" bomb that might blow up in all of our faces this or next season.

You will be crying and kissing Theo Epstein's Chicago Cubs World Series Championship Ring before you die.

It'd be so fitting if the inevitable cubs WS ring was a cock ring #SOPROGRESSIVE

Does Trader Joe's make you guys have long and weird conversations with the customers while you ring them up or is that optional.

Talk to deadspin.

Also, he mentioned that there were things he needed to work on in the minors. If that is the case, how could he be brought up today? Did he fix them yesterday?

How many errors does he have? Of course there are things he still needs to work on.

But the Cubs have a negative number of third basemen.

If you really want to be taken seriously then just admit that Theo knew he could be starting on the Cubs on opening day.

When those players get healthy, are they sending Bryant back down or putting him on the bench?

For as much grief as good dolphin and Frank get, I would hope they would admit such an obvious thing like that Bryant was MLB ready on opening day and didn't need 12 days to finally get MLB ready.

Hey, IMU!
Is being taken seriously by Boilermaker Rick one of your main goals in life?
I know that it is one of my goals. I'll work at trying harder.

How are you involved?

Bryant was major league ready on Opening Day. He is not a finished product though. His first at-bat shows that offensively, and we all know about his defense.
