Then can we discuss the Adam Eaton signing?

And congrats on his first walk and SB over the weekend......This 'Early" signing isnt working out so well, Maybe AMERICA can explain to me what the reason are that the leadoff man has 1 SB with the new base running coach, that was going to change things.

Goff just said Kenny isn't a fan of Ventura. Ventura is Hahn's guy.

Just seems to be a theme that any failure is heaped on Kenny and any success is given to Hahn by fans/media.

Would be nice if a reporter could do some digging and see what decisions belong to which party.

or better yet.

Hire one friggin GM who is qualified who in turn can hire one Manager who is qualified and run the team like a respectable Major League Baseball organization.

Only KW would be dumb enough to take some guy off the street to be GM? You think Mr. MBA/JD would do something like that?

Huh? What's wrong with a solid defensive centerfielder who puts up 118 OPS+ over his first two years with a team?

I guess you just have lower standards. Other than his speed, what do you like..weak arm check , throws to the wrong bag check , not smart - misses cut off men and pretty poor base runner.

Eaton is nothing to get excited about offensively or defensively.

you could do a lot worse than adam eaton as CF/leadoff.

perhaps with an improved coaching staff he'll improve routes/baserunning?

Eaton is fine offensively and better than average defensively. He isn't having the best year, but he has done well at everything he is supposed to do well in the past. He's entering his prime. He's a guy you can actually say, "he'll be fine" about with some confidence.

If he was on the Cubs you'd be chalking him up as a Bust.

He's an average CF'er. He comes in well and goes alley to alley but he can get turned around on balls hit directly over his head which means he should probably play a little deeper. I'm not sure where this bad arm stuff is coming from. He has an above average CF'ers arm and it's accurate.

Nope. I'd be saying he's fine. Just like Kris Bryant is fine.

Nope. I'd be saying he's fine. Just like Kris Bryant is fine.

As if the two are equal

You've already labeled Soler, Baez and Almora as busts and you were pretty close with Rizzo a few years back.

I like Eaton. Still can't believe the Dbacks traded him. He has underperformed to my view of his potential. He seems to have that AJ grit factor that makes you love him on your team but hate him otherwise.

When he hit into that double play yesterday, I waited to see how he would react. He threw his batting helmet to the ground as soon as he cleared first base. Fire and passion.
