This isn't a word-for-word transcription, but this is the gist of it:

Dan: Doug wasn't the biggest linebacker in the NFL, but he was fast.
McMurray: Did Doug have big hands?
Dan: They were like Manhole covers. He had his hands around my throat on a couple of occasions when I raised his ire.
McMurray: Really?
Dan: Doug also had his hands around Dan Bernstein's throat one time.
McMurray: Nice!
Dan: Yeah, several of Bernstein's co-workers were upset with the people who broke that up.

IF nothing else, that photo shows that not one of those fine men could compete today at their position in the size/shape they were in then, and that their game was so much more about attitude/toughness.

Mac had plenty of thoughts on Facebook, everyone had a lot of nice things to say about Doug.
