Man what a strange career Burnett has had. How many times did we and all of the baseball world think he was done?

As for the series, I'm hoping we can at least split. We need to start getting some production out of the 2nd base position and call me crazy, but next time there's an opportunity for it, I'd rather see Jackson get the ball over Schlitter. A sinker baller whose ball doesn't sink is not good for my viewing experience.

Arrieta was lucky to get out of that inning only allowing one run. Pittsburgh is hitting him hard so far tonight.

It did not go through the net. She was standing next to it...not really leaning into it but was close. The little 'give' in the net caused the ball to hit her. The ball did not go through though, it was in the field of play after it bounced off the net.

I hear clapping now... very little of it. But maybe that is some good news.

Visually, the net does not seem to 'give' into the first row seats all that much. I cannot tell how many inches...but it doesn't seem like all that much. She must have been real close. Hard to say "well at least..." right now, but at least she wasn't facing the field of play.

This was 20 years ago but at Sox game one summer we snuck down to the front row behind the screen by the late innings.. Roberto Alomer hit a foul back into the screen where we were sitting. It only bent a few inches but if we had been standing up against it it would of been bad.
