Well, I thought maybe the catcher wasn't allowed to block the plate at all ... which he clearly did with his left leg. Now maybe that's fine, but perhaps Joe was thinking as I did ... which would be depressing for any number of reasons, but that's another issue altogether.

Apparently the fan is ok. I know these things cause problems a couple of days later even though they appear to be ok at the time of the incident so I'm guessing she'll be in the hospital for observation for a couple days or so but that's good news.

Still the worst legal policy MLB has on this. Teams are basically not allowed to help financially with any of the hardships that happen from this. They will give them signed balls, tickets, hats, etc....but their legal teams have come to the conclusion that if any of them help with the real problems, like medical bills or ongoing help, thats considered blame....

Everyone knows you don't turn your back at a game. Especially along the sidelines, but really anywhere. She was not paying attention while a ball was in play, evermind the fact she was fucking over people behind here during a pitch. But I agree with this policy.

I'm not sure how he could be more than the hype...since the hype was immense.

So far, I'm content living in the moment and don't want to predict too much. He improves the offense by some measure.
