So Beardown is wrong for pointing out that Bernstein has on several occasions mocked peoples deaths and people mourning for them and that he may just be a bit insincere with his "tears" at Buffone's passing?

Because he's the one that mocks people who are sad about death. Santo's death was "Let's make fun of the legless bastard" show. Let's not forget that.

Dan worked dozens of shows over the years with Doug. There is no comparing the two.

Do you know of any affection between Dan and Doug?

I had no plans to share any of it here.

But I hope we can agree that Beardown's cheap shots here are low class, low rent and a pile of shit.

Even for him.

What's cheap? Suggesting that Dan is disengenuous and phony today? I don't think there is any doubt about it. So I don't think it's cheap if it's true. To the contrary. What Dan is doing today is cheap.

Yes.

And also for saying that he was doing it to make up for boobgate.

Any other questions?

No just a comment. I think you're being pretty naive.

Especially when Dan gets all tearful and emotional when talking about it. But when a meatball calls to express his feelings, Dan wants to quickly hang up and is annoyed with the caller. So he quickly goes from mornful and sad, to his regular self, then back to mornful and sad when he has the stage again.

I'm not falling for it. You can if you want.

This is an "Image redemption" attempt for Bernstein.

I think I'm the only one in the present conversation who knew both and worked with them.

Bernstein said he worked with Buffone pre Boers and Bernstein show. I'll bet he never talked to him in the 15 years since. Maybe at the Doug Buffone Roast. But that's about it.

I believe the sadness from all other Score guys. Cuz they talked to Doug and had him on their shows. Probably talked to him outside of radio shows. Not Bernstein. Doug was a meatball to him.

Drinky is a meatball. Has to pretend otherwise for Bernstein but he doesn't pull it off well. Drinky would love a fellow meatball like Doug Buffone.

I don't like phony. That's what Bernstein was today.

Every single positive thing you can say about Doug...the exact opposite is true of Bernstein...no one will truthfully be able to say he was a good man...he's not....he's a miserable human being. Now I am sure the Bernstein ALS will rear their ugly heads.

Could you just put me on "Ignore" instead of threatening it? Then not bitch about seeing my cracker ass in quotes? Just ignore me then as well. Close your eyes and scroll past it. I know it's horrible and painful. This is just my suggestion to avoid it.

Thank you.

I wasn't addressing you, dickboy.

Post about sports like you used to or weather the slings and arrows, princess. You practically beg for and then protest when you receive the same criticism that's been levied by any number of other posters time and again for, literally, years about your half-assed, hackneyed, horseshit spam-level posts and threads.

Here's an idea - (a) you put me on ignore, and/or (b) eat shit and bark at the moon.

Dickboy? Never heard that one. And I've been called everything. Or so I thought. That's just not a cool insult word. You can do better.

I wasn't adressing you either. Quoted your quote of the quote.

I take the slings and arows more than you suggest, with no comment, by the way. I only defend when it's an attack on my attacks for the most part. Because I think my attacks are justified. Shots at me otherwise are encouraged and accepted.

Hmmm. Dan mentioned that Buffone's wife works at The Score. Dan also works at The Score. I'm not saying anything inappropriate was happening between them, but Doug's death seems rather odd don't you think?

I listened for the first time in months. Dan seemed genuine in his sadness.

Funny show of stories.

He is still the biggest dick to callers, I tried listening on my way home yesterday and had to turn it off.

He showed restraint with the one weird caller I heard. Guy told a story that he called in to the Score pretending to be Wannstedt and kept mentioning knowing Norm Van Lier. Was just kind of weird

Bernstein hurried him along but on another day he goes nuclear on the guy

Also Rozner made a funny comment "I spoke to your dad at a remote, he doesnt care for you" to Bernstein was well timed and delivered.

Absolutely. Dan and Doug co-hosted the Score's Bears Pregame show for a year or two around 2000 or 20001. It was clear that they really liked one another--their chemistry was fantastic--and the show itself was great, both entertaining and informative. Doug remarked several times over the past 15 years about how much he liked working with "Dictionary Face."

I heard that in the car. It didn't sound like the caller was ever going to make a point.

B&B ever invite Doug on their show? I don't think so. All of the other SCORE shows did. They didn't want the meatball. Like Dolphin said, I don't think Doug liked Dan and I don't think Dan liked Doug. Which is fine. But don't pretend now.
This is the dumbest post of the year so far.

Bernstein was literally crying on air!

I thought he was awful quick to revert back to "Ass hole" when a caller wanted to express his sadness, then right back to sad and choked up when he hung up on the caller. Then back to "Ass hole" when he talks to the next sad meatball.

Dan and Doug did the pre-game show for a number of years before that even. beardown knows that as well.

I actually didn't. I have no memory of a Buffone-Bernstein pre game show. Didn't know until Bernstein mentioned it.
