Bears @ Packers on Thanksgiving night. That's NBC. So I'll bet there will be no Sunday Night Bears game.

Bears will always have a Sunday night game. No matter how bad Bears are, they always bring in good ratings, which is all NBC cares about. This isn't Buffalo, Beardown.

Alright. I say "No" cuz NBC has them on Thanksgiving. I know what your saying, but they were 5-11. Now, if they're good, they'll flex the Bears to Sunday night after week 10. That's when they can start flexing. But I don't think they'll have one scheduled.

They'll have at least one Monday nighter (Maybe 2) and another Thursday nighter. Cuz ESPN doesn't get the great games like NBC does.

So we'll have a friendly wager on this.

As Curious Hair stated, the Bears are virtually guaranteed at least one TNF, a scheduled SNF, and MNF a season.


I believe all teams now are guaranteed one prime time game a year, even if you're the Raiders, which is why they try to knock them out early with that opening MNF doubleheader.


But the Bears would have to totally bottom out where they don't at least get a SNF on the schedule. At the very worst, they get a late SNF, and then it gets flexed out.

Every team gets a Thursday game since they are inherently dangerous endeavors. Drastically increased injury risk for everyone!

Another thing can be deduced by the Bears playing at GB on Thangsgiving. It means the Packers will be here on the last game of the season. It's always a division game to end the season. It was the Vikings and Lions the last 2 years. So it's the Packers turn. They rotate it.

They are also retiring Favre's jersey this night.

Ugh best schedule they've had in years and they have to go and ruin it with a Thanksgiving game. Their ability to dominate entire days with their shittiness has been limited but the price we pay seems to be Thanksgiving.

Looks like only chance of a Sunday night flex would be the finale. Maybe the Broncos game but they rarely flex Week 11 unless the 2 teams are absolute garbage.

Maybe the Broncos game. But NBC probably wouldn't do it cuz they have Bears-Packers 4 days later on Thanksgiving. They usually don't want to do back to back with the same team.

The 49ers game late in the season could be a good one. Maybe Bears-Lions to end the season could be for a playoff spot, like you said. Those games could be flexed. If the Bears can have one of those unexpected good seasons.

Except for the week 17 GB thing.

My logic was correct. It should have been the Packers. It's their turn in the rotation. But, since the NFL wanted Bears-Packers on Thanksgiving, they had to readjust it. Cuz they want Bears vs Vikings, Packers and Lions in the first 8 games. Then again in the last 8 games. Which is what they have.

So I lost this, but my logic was correct. So I'm gonna still call it a win.

I like it when they have a few 3:25 games so you can watch the red zone for the nooners. Only one this year. At Seattle in week 3.

If they don't suck, some of those games will get moved to 330.

Had 4 potential road trips; the schedule reveal eliminated 2:

Kansas City: Same day as the already paid-for Chicago Marathon.
Tampa: The Floridians we would stay and go with will be here that weekend.

That leaves Seattle and San Diego as possibilities.

I'm 0-7 on Bears road games but nonetheless they are a lot of fun.
