Im hoping Sini sees the irony in his post about the dream staff
Its nice to have young talent. Sometimes it works (Yankees, Giants, Phillies) sometimes it doesnt (Indians, Mets, Brewers)
hey if given a choice i'll take the dream staff to handle the dream lineup.
don't forget the whole context of this is in relation to all these little cublets coming up and taking over the world. the 95 braves every year you know cuz this aint no atlanta braves type run of mediocrity.
I'd take the dream lineup with a little defense mixed in over any dream staff. You proved my point for me.
The Braves dream team won only one World Series with arguably the best rotation ever. All you need is two ace type pitchers and two average pitchers to win in the playoffs. Arizona is a good example of a team with two ace pitchers who carried the staff to a World Series victory.
'05 Whitesox didn't have a hall of fame rotation, but they got hot at the right time.
STL where alot like the Sox. SF did it with defense and a two clutch pitchers. COL offense has won them a couple World Series. BOS did it with hitting and one ace.
You can keep your dream rotation, give me the guys who get you the big hits and can play defense.
