Doubt it was a feral or wild cat. No animal with anti-human instincts will just sit there and let you pump an arrow into the back of their noggin. I've bowhunted for decades; and when taking aim at any stationary game, large or--especially--small, you aim for the spot you anticipate they will move to once they hear/react to the sound of the bow: left or right (usually), but sometimes forward or even back toward you. Highly unlikely you're going to headshot a truly wild animal like she's showing there.

oh come on just offer it a little food and it will think its your friend and then you can stab it in the throat.

Not in Texas, not since Tranny Governor Rick Perry signed a law making killing cats and dogs a felony, even if feral. Course, Perry also made it legal to hunt wild hogs and other large game from helicopters.
