Exactly. They can't do this.

It's not like this is some unknown. He's almost certainly your best hitter. You don't sit your best hitter for 10 games voluntarily. He could hit 6 HRs in those games.

Olt is OK not going to win any gold glove awards. Just think the defense excuse is going to be lame and you know that will be the excuse.

Last I saw he had 8 chances with 2 throwing errors.

Mike Olt is by far the best 3b on the 40 man roster. Most scouting sites say he is above avg at 3b. If he hit enough to be able to stay at 3rd for a whole season, he very well could win a GG.
