They never seem to hit Leake well even though his stuff looks very hittable. Lets hope Lester can get them at least to the 6th inning .

Hopefully Lester goes at least 7 or 8 tonight. I don't want to see our middle relief for at least a couple of days. Does Bryant get his first HR in the Great American Ballpark this weekend? I'm saying yes.

I have a bad feeling about Lester tonight. (Never have much confidence in a pitcher at GAB)

I think Lester is going to be a lot like Buehrle was for the Sox. Very streaky and usually ends up with about 14-15 Wins and like 8-9 losses.

It would be nice to blow out a team. Havent really done that yet

I'm all for the Cub blowing teams out, but with that comes more awkward and bad comedy attempts from Deshaies. You've got to keep Jim engaged or his mind starts to wander up in the booth.

Ill deal with it. Plus sometimes in a blowout you find a bullpen guy by accident

Hamilton on base vs Lester should be interesting

Coghlon is 8 for 8 vs Leake. I think they sweep if Lester can give us anything today.

If he gets on, it might be an automatic triple against Lester.

Small request....can we call them Cubs rather Cubbies? I know this sounds a bit "Berstein-ish"....Sorry about that. It just sort of bugs me.

Go Cubs!

I think it's an ironic thread title, but I agree.

You're part of the problem if "Cubbies" continues

edit: Cubbies is a fine nickname. It is used the same as Nats, Bucs, Fish, Friars...no problem with it.

Of course you'd say that. How's your allstate safe driver check working out?

You calling me a Bernstein wannabe is hilarious

I havent liked "Cubbies" since I was a kid when Bernstein was still smoking weed and listening to EPMD at Duke.

It's a stupid nickname and you come off like a Bleacher Broheim using it, but to each their own

I just hope people dont refuse to post in your Cubby threads going forward

Attaboy Jon. Lead off single, stolen base, passed ball, ground out 1-0. Just like the Reds drew it up.

25 pitch first inning so middle relief going to be exposed again tonight. This guy fucking blows. His contract will be as bad as Sorianos without even the good few years Soriano had.
