Crawford doesn't save any of those last night. Stick with Darling, he's the better goalie.

I agree that either goalie wouldnt have done any better....but I have to admit still confused on the Darling being a 'better netter' and Crow started most of the reg season games

Just my personal opinion. I feel more comfortable with Darling in net.

That shitshow in the 3rd period was all Duncan Keith's fault.

Keep Darling in net.

The three goals at the start of the 3rd period were defensive meltdowns and a stupid penalty. None were soft goals.
Darling starts game 6.

Crawford, arguably their most consisent player all year other than 88, is now worse than Darling after 2 games? I don't get it.

He should have been pulled Game 2 and deserved to sit Games 3 and 4. The team knows they let him down with their play early on in the series. They love the guy. Put Crawford in net and you'll see the Hawks play a defensive masterpiece. Guranteed.

Sounds easy.

If that is the case why did they not play that defensive masterpiece in game 2 after watching their guy get pulled in game 1?

I say stick with Darling. He has been playing great and last nights game was not his fault.

Give Darling the opportunity to finish what he started ... playing Wheel of Goalies is just a piss-poor idea.

Down the stretch, yes Crawford was consistent...but like many others on the team, he had a stretch from December - February of playing average at best.

Crawford played himself out...period. Darling got left out to dry with shit defense in front of him.

Darling. I don't think it's good to start a guy cold at home in an elimination game.

A lot of bad thoughts. He's the reason they are champions. Of course the first week of the season the Crawford hate will start again.

I was a Cro critic... but his performance in the SCF was unbelievable & made me a believer. No way they can let him go now.

His performance the last few games of the SCF did the job. All I saw was great save after great save.

He was fine. Darling and whoever else they use next year will be fine too.

I think Curious Hair said it in another thread- right now there are no magnificent goalies and no truly awful ones either. It's just not a position where you should tie up a lot of cap money.

It's kind of funny the guys the fans want to get rid of. Guess what? Other teams aren't thrilled about the guys you don't want either. Some of this shit sounds like those fantasy trades Cub fans like to propose: "Why don't dey jus' packach Baez, Ross, an' Shitter for Cole Hamels?"

Of course you'd like to move Bickell and Sharp. They're also at about their lowest value. Does anyone doubt they held Sharp too long? And I'm not saying you trade Kane now, but let's say it's three years down the road and they've won another Cup and Kane is coming off a big Finals, that might be the time you want to move a guy. When all the fans are clamoring for a guy to be traded, it's obviously too late.

You have a point, but remember that the NHL has a salary floor and that several teams desperately need to put money on the books to be compliant with the cap. Phoenix needs to add at least $17MM and I've heard as high as $19MM, which, given the fact that they've just been evicted and have one foot in the grave fucking AGAIN, is outlandish. Buffalo has to add at least 10. Nashville, Calgary, and Jersey are all under the floor. The money will end up somewhere.
