Cant beat vegas for a big fight....granted I would never go to Vegas for a fight as the prices are 3 times normal for everything and its crazy, but its vegas...an easy W.

For some reason, Illinois is not an easy place for a big time boxing match to be held.
I am not sure of the reason but was told this by some promoters a while ago.
It might have to do with tax issues.

Casinos can pay so much more money for a fight as they use the tickets to have guest stay at the hotel and gamble for weekend.

Granted the % of revenue from gambling is down, but it is still 70% of the money. Thus get the fight and you will have guests packing your hotel.

Its a massive economic boom for the city. Its like a Super Bowl. Every casino has a viewing party.

Mayweather looking at $200 M on this one...so you have to think this event is a multi BILL event when all the guests check in, gamble, eat, etc,
