"white cake" made me immediately think of the only other time I have heard the phrase "white cake" in a movie (as base cake is white cake with no need for description in my chubby world) which was a film during the 80s called Betrayed. The movie is about the FBI infiltrating a Midwestern farm community hate group. This was the year of the anti racist film along with Mississippi Burning.

I don't know if Tarantino is referencing that film in Django but he like his homages, probably saw the film and there is some similarity of subject matter.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Donnie Brasco. The best Johnny Depp performance IMO.

Yeah,just watched it again a few months ago. I also liked him in Dillinger.
