Chicago's team is fine. Cubbies is not a huge deal but fighting FOR Cubbies is ridiculous.

It is often associated with the "loveable losers" tag that many of us dont like.

And you'll notice most are completely fine with the term Cubbies. You and maybe one other see a negative connotation. Instead, maybe just realize that all you've ever known about the Cubs is losing, and therefore everything related to the Cubs has the stigma of loser. Not just one nickname you've hand-selected.



I am a Cubs fan. I live with the good and the bad. What I like and don't like. The fans that don't pay attention in the bleachers annoy me. But they are Cubs fans also, just of a different level. I'm not asking for mass executions.
