Whoever it was that Spiegel had on yesterday as his guest host, it sounded good between them, like an actual sports radio show.

No talking over one another. Just fluid conversation about sports. I couldn't believe my listening ears.

Who was he? Hire the guy full-time immediately and give Goff the boot.

I think it was Joe Cowley. I only heard snippets when I was going home for lunch and back but I thought it sounded awful. Cowley was bad.
I am basing this off of 15 minutes of listening but my initial reaction.

I only listened for a short time myself before noon when they were talking about the Cubs and it sounded good considering they hadn't worked with one another previously. The comments were insightful and both were articulate. That's all I ask for, and they delivered yesterday.

I don't care much for Rosenbloom, but Cowley seemed nothing like Rosenbloom to me. Rosenbloom is just irritatingly bad. Boers' self-deprecation comes off as funny because its the opposite of the truth what he says about himself, but with Rosenbloom he truly does suck.

cowley is ok in small doses, just like rosner is for me

Rosner is fine as long as he isn't saying that Matt Forte is a good running back between the tackles, because he's not.

Spiegel and Goff have devolved into one long chuckle-fest.
