If WAR is some kind of acronym for sexual excitement, then, yes.

i was raised a cubs fan, i never really had any attachment to it. blame the 90s, blame what you will. when i got into baseball i saw vlad bat and that was it, i had a guy i had a team and it hasn't steered me wrong since. hell they even took my team away from me after a few years because go figure the team i adopted had fans who actually had the stick to stop showing up to arguably the worst ballpark in the majors when shit got unacceptable. i understand these are foreign concepts to cubs fans, although i see that you guys went and nicked our "farm system to baseball" moniker which is pretty cute.

maybe someday i'll change my board name to "everybody's working for the weekend" and we'll finally have something in common.

There was never an argument that Stade Olympique was the worst ballpark in the majors. It was as incontrovertible a baseball truth as "three strikes, you're out."

Did you read Up, Up, and Away yet?

Kris Bryant is the Natural. Dude will take over this town like no other baseball player in my lifetime. I have a baseball mancrush on him. Like Dale Murphy but better. I feel sorry for him he'll never win a championship.

He is a good looking man. Be careful that mancrush doesn't turn into a crush. Seacrest won't approve.

I simply cannot remember the last time Chicago had a rookie who could hit for average and power to the point he was elite in all MLB the moment he took the field.

I assume that excludes any 37-year old Cubans, right?

Frank Thomas. But he didn't have an effervescent personality and the ability to play multiple defensive positions. Nor did he have the Cubs-media propaganda complex doing PR for him.

Pre-mature balding is a sign of ample testosterone.

I thought I was being obvious. People would should be elated if Bryant is as good as Abreu.

Well, he was, technically.

But I don't mind putting international free agents from other professional leagues into a different category.

10 games 9 RBIs.

146 RBI pace minus the time he needed to develop.

I'll take RBI in whatever form they come in.

I'm not well-versed.

Do RBIs still count or is it like quality swings over regular swings where people score?

No I am just surprised he hasn't knocked one. I assumed the way he tore up the minors he would have a couple.

I've considered that as well and I like to think of it as the greatest doubt I've had as a Cub fan since Ryno went 0-for-31.

Mine was questioning whether or not Jerome Walton was going to supplant Pete Rose and Wee Willie Keeler for second place on the all-time hitting streak list.

Saw a stat saying they've only thrown him fastballs 40% of the time so far.

He reminds me alot of Moises Alou, without the peeing on the hands. I think he will hit 20-30 HR with 90-100+ RBI.
