The doll is naked laying on the ground with a male doll on top of her and other dolls standing in a semi circle watching. I suppose you could chalk it up to coincidence. You would be in the minority.

The kid's drawing is identical to that of the cult...identical. It also happens to be identical to the drawing in the psych ward.

What would I want to happen? Well, I'm no writer. I think it's reasonable that a political family who got all state grants for religious based education and then was found to have ritualistically killed children might be brought down by the incident.

Instead, the maintenance man took the blame.

There was more to the story, they just didn't explain everything. All those "easter eggs" could very well have been legit clues to something bigger. People seem to forget the scene when the detectives come into Marty's hospital room and ask if he wants to know what else they found. He said he didn't. The story was always about the two characters, Marty and Rust, and their story was told. Anyone who chose to get so involved in everything else that you were distracted by the main point of the show that's on you.

OK.

It was a story about a veteran, big city cop who finds rules don't apply to him and his outsider partner with preternatural deductive reasoning skills. Great story. Compelling and rich. I'm shocked CBS didn't pick it up.

which only goes to show he is a man who cannot close

He is a baroque artist, creating work that is ornate and superficially interesting but ultimately meaningless.

He probably lives in one of those river forest mansions with big lion sculptures guarding the front doors

I take that back. If you are correct, it is not a matter of him not being able to close. It is a matter of him having no purpose when putting pen to paper in the first place, which is far more damning. However, it does give insight on why it took him so long to make anything of himself as a writer.

It wasn't misdirection. Everything ultimately lead to where it was supposed to lead: the cult. However, he left us believing that a centuries old cult with membership at the highest positions in government and whose influence extends to an entire region is run by the maintenance man and his slow sister. GTFO Pizzoletto.

every mystery story ultimately leads where it's supposed to lead. there's plenty in that interview that explains where he was coming from and what story he wanted to tell. if you want to tell him to GTFO, do so.

In a long list of characters I have no interest in ever seeing on my tv screen again. Pauly Shore would be another (I heard his name mentioned this past weekend).

Wasn't he the guy snorting coke in True Romance?

No. Saul Rubinek was the coke snorting guy. Balki was the guy who introduced him to Clarence.

Again, that's all that was left. Rust was on the right track, but the head minister died after he stole the video tape. Time passes by and things fade. The billboard, the Cult etc.

I was thinking of the car scene with the girl, and then the cops pulled him over. Maybe I am just recalling it incorrectly.

Maybe you're right. There may have been a lot of coke snorting in that movie.

No you're right. The chick in the car threw the coke in his face when they got pulled over and started laughing hysterically at Balki. Great scene.

Bronson Pinchot was fine before he started taking roids. Same with Joe Piscipo

Oh ok. I thought he was in the movie and got busted with coke. He was a weasel, which fits his persona perfectly. That is actually a solid movie.

The trailer seen where Hopper insults Italians. Great stuff. Tony Saprano before he was such. Lots to enjoy.

If you have 15 minutes you should see his IMDB page.... He currently is filming 3 movies, has two in post production and rumored to be starring in an upcoming Nick Fury movie

I believe I read somewhere that whoever picked Gandolfini for Tony cited that scene as a reason

Yeah, that's what it was.

Okay, so you're putting together the look for Reggie LeDoux. You carefully select all the tattoos to make him seem like a lunatic. And then you put this on him:

Image

There are hundreds of millions of faces in the world you could have put on him, but you chose one that looks remarkably like a main character. Calling that coincidence is just disingenuous.
So you're just fucking with the audience. That's bullshit.

i've never written a review for it but i've always adored "true romance". i liked it better than "reservoir dogs" as far as his early screenplays. he said scott changed his ending and a few other things but for the most part remained true to the script. the cast is outstanding and the action sequences are electric. tony scott definitely had a knack for action films.

I am a huge Reservoir Dogs fan. Star Wars movies aside, it is my #1 movie. I adore Harvey Keitel. Madsen will never be able to repeat that performance. The dialogue is insane from the outset. Every time I hear "Stuck in the Middle with You", I think of gasoline and an ear flying through the air.

JORR, on TD, I liked the show overall even though the ending seemed out of line with all the false pathways. I suspect if I hadn't read so much of the speculation on the meaning of everything, I would have been more comfortable with the way it ended. We all came up with crazy theories and tried putting the puzzle together. That set us up for the inevitable disappointment as there was no way to wrap the show up without some ridiculous twist.

At one point I thought the father in law was a child molester.

Wrong.

How many hours did you spend on the internet chasing down your yellow king theories and trying to act like you were a Lovecraft guy all along? That's why you're pissed about the finale.
