He was the creator of the phrase "Cowboy Up" during his Red Sox run. Nothing more needs to be said.

Nice start to the game. Finally won a challenge. That might be Maddon's first. And it kicked off the inning nicely.
Anyone catch that great slide into home by Russell?

That's the third time I've seen badly backhand a ball he didn't need to.
Someone needs to get that out of his game. Bad. I had a little league coach that would have sat me a couple innings if i did that.

And Addison Russell booted a ball by trying to get in front of it instead of backhanding it a few games ago.

It happens.

Bryant is the biggest singles hitter in baseball. 10 rbi and no home runs. Punch and Judy.

What's up with the ump staring Bryant down for bumping him?

I took another look at it and it looked innocent enough. Didn't really stare him down.

Jeez Lenny, you have Rich Eisen and you had to make the interview about Stuart Scott's death? I mean if it just happened it's understandable. But it happened in January.

So far so good. Just imagine what this team is going to look like offensively when the weather heats up or the wind is blowing out. We might see quite a few double digit runs scored days for the Cub, only this time we'll be the Mike Schmidts.

Also, did the Cub dodge a HUGE bullet by missing out on Tanaka. He's heading to the DL again with a forearm strain and wrist tendinitis which might be a precursor to Tommy John surgery.
Ouch!

Our warm weather offense will overcome his suckage.

Another series win!

It seems like every time you look the Cub have runners on base. Like RPB said, "this teams lives on the bases." Wood looked good again. Hopefully this is the Travis from two seasons ago not last year's version. Let's keep it going tomorrow with a strong outing from "The Professor" and Bryant's first dinger to complete the sweep and make this a five game winning streak.
