I predict The Joker is the season 1 cliffhanger.

Season 2 is all Joker.

Season 3 is Dr. Death.

There's only been one episode since. It was alright.

I'm sticking with the show because it feels like it's on the verge of becoming very good, trending up, if you will. I won't say it is currently a great show, though.

Alright, I've gotten this far I will stick with it. I would agree that it is better than average but I don't go out of my
way to watch it regularly. I have enjoyed the way that they are bringing the Batman story to television though.

I spent the past week or so getting up to speed on The Flash (pun not intended).

That's a show that started off running.

It is a good-to-very good show. My wife and I were binge watching The Arrow over Xmas and this is a quasi-spinoff. Flash was always my favorite superhero when I was a kid.

I'm afraid to ask why you felt such a kinship with "The Flash" :eye:

It's very well acted by everyone except the main character

Too bad a Clay Davis was only in one episode

Cameron Monaghan, the talented actor from Shameless who plays Jerome on Gotham, is scheduled to appear in next week's episode about the Red Hood.

Also, the creator of the show said in an interview that the origin of the Joker starts last night. I didn't see the Red Hood last night, but that doens't mean he wasn't there in some capacity.

One popular Joker origin is that he started out as the Red Hood, but Batman ruined a heist and he fell in the chemical vat.

I'm guessing that Cameron is the Joker. He's too good an actor to waste on a small part.

I think he may be the guy behind the guy who is the joker.
I don't think they would give it away that quickly because they gave it away too quickly.

Its not really giving it away quickly. He's the only iconic villain that hasn't been introduced yet.

I liked the Robin reveal last night as well. Nice to see Jim Gordon inadvertantly play cupid for Robin's mom and dad.

Did We Meet The Joker On 'Gotham' Last Night?
The Huffington Post | By Erin Whitney

But still, is it safe to assume Jerome is the Joker as a boy? "Gotham" executive producer Bruno Heller told E! News the most vague, tease-y answer: "It's the beginning of the story of how the Joker came to be, how the Joker was created, where he came from, who he is. Now, that doesn't necessarily mean that Cameron Monaghan is the Joker," he said. "He might be."

While that answer will frustrate "Gotham" fans for days, who are already theorizing the Joker's appearance on Reddit, we do at least know Jerome isn't a red herring. The great thing about "Gotham" taking on the Joker is that no one knows where it's headed, since the comic book villain famously had no clear origin story. In the comics, the Joker's background varies from a gangster identity Red Hood to a failed comedian who becomes disfigured by chemicals to Jack, a criminal obsessed with Batman.

Heller has said that present-day "Gotham" is seven or eight years away from when the fully-formed Joker will arrives in the city. Perhaps Jerome is the Joker, or maybe he will lead us to him eventually. Either way, Heller wants everyone to know, "This is not a trick."

so we definitely didn't see the Joker in the Red Hood episode although it was a nice tease with the first guy wearing the hood.

I have a feeling the Joker back story/reveal is going to be strung out over several episodes and maybe more than one season.

I thought the way it ended sucked, could have gone a few more episodes. He dies yet fucking fish is still alive. Terrible writing.

also, three pages in and i don't think i've seen anyone mention the catgirl. idk if this is wrong to ask, but is she cute or an alien? i can't figure it out and i'm of a mind to wait a few years before i definitively figure it out

I agree, it was going good, then it was like we have to end this.

SHe probably has just one more episode.

I never watched after Gordon was assigned to Arkham. I was enjoying it up until that point but it just fell off my radar completely.

You did previously say that you are not going to be back for season 2. Is that still the case?
I will not be a series regular in season 2.

But is there a possibility you’ll pop up?
If she survives the fall. [Laughs] Yeah, I mean, it was water below.

....and it's a show based on comic books FFS. flash could go jogging one morning and everything is subject to change, granted i dont think the networks formally the share the same universe so they'd just have to say "some guy went jogging one morning and everything changed"

I just caught up and had a quick thought. I have no idea how the hell they are going to get Barbara to the place she is supposed to end up according to the comic book story.

She said she only wanted to do one season of the show so they ended it that way. With no definitive answer s to whether she died they could always bring her back if she changes her mind.
