Fun game. 6th consecutive 1-run game, Card was gonna come up on the wrong side sooner or later. Gnight fellas.

Nice to see the players having fun... the goofy Castro ghost throw... Rizzo being like what the hell? Fun.
And Castro with the big relief after the last out... nice to see.
This is Maddon really coming thru. Don't let the pressure exceed the pleasure.

I agree. Seemed all in fun to me...

I had to listen to the Card announcers for this game and they went on and on about how stupid Castro was and how pissed off Rizzo was at him. I was ready to throw something at the TV.

Really? That's how they played it? Ridiculous. He seemed to think it was funny. What the heck.

Cubs aren't far away from these chuckleheads. Cards will win the division but we can run with these fools.

They came in with best pitching staff in NL and they've gotten cockslapped pretty well over 3 games. Time to make it a fourth.

It was nothing like that at all.

Castro is really hated by Cardinals fans. Not in a "he kills us" way. But in a condescending "He's lazy and doesn't play the Cardinals way".

I wouldn't take him on my team; given viable other options  I got news for you: correct or not, that's the national perception of Castro... blame ESPN for pounding the narrative to death I suppose.

I had Maddon ejections set at 8.5 in my preseason prediction contest that somebody borked for being "too complicated for the posters here"

I can't believe they won. Soon as Bourjos went 1st to 3rd on an groundout to 1st base, seemed inevitable for a Reynolds Sac Fly or Walk Off HR.

Love the Castro thing. Even after two brutal (by May standards) losses and Maddon getting tossed, team is still having fun. Can't be a bad thing.

Get the split today and feels like a series win.

Or Jim Edmonds and his burrito eye liner. Or Chris Carpenter and his tough guy bullshit.

Before they went on their run I really really really hated Fernando Viña and his burrito goattee.

I don't really hate any of their players now.
