Right. Heard that too. They mention it every game that he gets a point per game. Just wondering where he ranks all time.

One more game to go. Get out the brooms Hawks fans. The Wild are a dead ass beaten team.

Ahem.

How in the hell were any of you Hockey Gays actually worried about the Minnesota fucking Wild? They were a complete disaster in this series. They never once had a lead in a game.
If the Hawks defense continues its great play no one will beat the Hawks.

Wow...that was almost a Bartman-type game, substituting Bickell...

Whew.

Crawford made things fun there, didn't he. Oh well. Onward, hopefully to Calgary.

Exactly. Cro was outstanding tonight.

Does anyone still want to trade the Blackhawks roster for the Wilds?

The Committed Indian guys seem to be really big fans of Mike Yeo MTV Raps With Bill Bellamy, but if he's such a great coach, why did he healthy-scratch noted Hawk-killer Erik Haula for most of the series, and postseason hero Sean Bergenheim for all of it? He seems like hockey's Wayne Fontes: he's always on the verge of getting fired but then the team surges and they have to keep him.

I think he's pretty good, but if Minnesota can get in on the Babcock sweepstakes, that would probably help them a lot. I can see Babs going to the Cities before I can see him in Buffalo or Edmonton.

Ryan Suter.....woof. What a brutal series. Dubnyk also had a subpar series. A ton of soft goals from that cat.

Not much to say except:

Babcock hasn't won anything, or even made the SCF, since Bowman left Detroit for Chicago.

He's made chicken salad out of chicken shit. I can't believe the Red Wings have done as well as they have with Kronwall as their #1 d-man.

I think Babcock is pretty great, but it does bear mentioning that he pisses off Wings fans doing pretty much the same things that Q does to piss off Hawks fans. Every time I hear that Q has to go because he won't play young guys (the Blackhawks should be more like the Bulls, says Bernstein), I think about the consensus Best Coach In The League and his bizarre attachment to Dan Cleary.

After Bowman left, Babcock still had the same roster (including Lidstrom, who wins the Norris trophy in 2011 and is among the top defensemen in the history of the league) that won the Stanley Cup and missed winning it by a game the 2 years prior...and he got bounced by the Sharks twice in the Conf Semis and finally getting bounced by Nashville in the opening round in 2012 was too much for Lidstrom and he retired.

Master clutchman Zetterberg and puck-thief Datsyuk and more recently Glendening take up a lot of slack for deficient defensemen.

Datsyuk would be interesting to watch on a line with a sniper like Kane. Datsyuk's ability to get a turnover and then hit the tape with a pass to a teammate cutting to the net ends up being wasted when the teammate he passes to is Justin Abdelkader.

Edmonton and its roster of yutes is a potential landing place for Babcock should the Wings low-ball him. Don't see that happening cuz Pizza-Pizza guy always overpays. But if money isn't a concern, the Oilers current roster plus the additions of Conor McDavid and Darnell Nurse in the next couple seasons makes Edmonton a tempting job for any head coach.
