All seats...no GA.

Odd combination

I think Corgan and Manson have had various affiliations since the late nineties. This new Manson album is their strongest since around that time as well (AC-Superstar/Mechanical Animals/Holywood). Might not be a bad show to see.

Yeah, they started hanging out around Adore/Machina.

That was the all black clothes, super-super pasty white era.

Good albums.

pre-recorded. That is not Wolfgang.

The bass? The vocals? Both?

Anyway, I'll be first in line to get my Sublime With Rome tix on Monday 4/20.

Quite possibly THE shittiest, ugliest, most overloved band of all time.

They should just change the name altogether and call themselves BITCHTITZ.

I also see another favorite of mine, TESLA, are opening for Def Leppard.
hell yeah!

Wolfgang backing vocals are pre-recorded and tracked in. Sadly, this is way too common.

My band had the pleasure of opening (very early) for Tesla at McHenry Fiesta days a few years back...I think it was 2012. Spent the entire afternoon hiding from everyone and had little to do with anyone as possible. Absolute tools. Played and sounded great, though. Also still have 4/5 original members.

It's sad that a band that was once their caliber is lowered to playing stuff like McHenry Fiesta Days. I think I would rather shoot myself.

guessing playing McHenry Fiesta Days alone isn't going to keep them in the lifestyle they're accustomed to

LLOYD: I'd like a hotdog, please.

ATTENDANT: Are you outta your mind?

KRAMER: Wh...wh...wh... what's the problem here?

ATTENDANT: This hotdog's been here since the silent era. You'd have to be insane to eat it.

KRAMER: No, no, no, no, no. This man is not insane. Now there's nothing wrong with it or you.

LLOYD: Kramer, maybe...

KRAMER: No, no, no, no. I'll show you. (slams a bill down on the counter) One hotdog please.

ATTENDANT: Okay.

KRAMER: Mmm, doesn't that smell good, huh?

The attendant hands over the hotdog.

KRAMER: Yeah, here we go, yeah. Mmm, oh. That's delicious.

Mmm. It's a perfectly sane food to eat. Um, interesting texture. It's chewy. I gotta get, some air.

Tesla headlined 2012.
Queensryche 2013.
Night Ranger 2014.
Ace Frehley scheduled 2015.

Fiesta Days holds a very large fairground. I'm pretty sure Tesla and Queensryche received approx. $45K for that slot. Pay is the same is other small clubs. The summer festival circuit for those kinds of bands is a great seasonal way to make a living. It definitely beats any kind of real job. Shit...cover bands like Modern Day Romeos, 7th Heaven, 16 Candles, and Mike&Joe get $4-5K per festival slot...TO PLAY COVERS! Now THAT's criminal.

I hope Chuck Moseley didn't make an appearance at your show last night, Doug.
I watched the Yahoo webcast from Detroit, and Chuck was a goddamned fucking trainwreck.
Worse than the recent Scott Weiland "Vasoline" video, if that is even possible.

Fuck. Could have been a nice alternative to watching the LeBrons advance if I had known about it earlier than 45 minuted after it started.

Riot Fest moved to Douglas Park.  The residents complaining about the mess they leave in Humboldt is rich. I guess blood from gang shootings is easier to wash away.

After a very public clash with 26th Ward Alderman Roberto Maldonado and various neighborhood groups who were upset with the damage done to Humboldt Park after last year's Riot Fest, the festival's organizers have revealed that the event will being taking up residence in Douglas Park this summer. In a longwinded announcement posted on the festival's website, Riot Fest founder Michael Petryshyn lauded a close partnership with 12th Ward Alderman George Cardenas, who stated that "the community is thrilled to say ‘welcome’ to the over 150,000 fans, artists and staff."

Located on the Southwest Side of the city, Douglas Park is located near neighborhoods like Lawndale, Little Village, Pilsen and the Illinois Medical District. Accessible via the California-Cermak Pink Line and the Western-Forest Park Blue Line, the park is roughly the same size as the Humboldt Park, featuring a similar mix of grassy fields, lagoons and a field house. What remains to be seen is if Riot Fest's organizers can devise a layout for the event that results in minimal damage to the park. Last year's festival in Humboldt Park was riddled with bottlenecks and inefficient pedestrian routes that resulted in additional damages to the park after heavy rains hit on Friday night.

It's important to note that this isn't the first time a Riot Fest event has been forced to change venues. Last year's Riot Fest Denver moved to Mile High Stadium after being forced out of its former home in Byers, Colorado due to complaints from the town officials and residents. There aren't many more venues in the city big enough to hold the throngs of fans that flock to Riot Fest—we can only hope that the organizers are able to work closely with their new Douglas Park neighbors and keep the festival in Chicago beyond 2015.

from everything i've read, yes there are certainly some residents complaining but it seems like the majority of them have no issue with it, it's just that Mr. Maldonado didn't get his palms greased quite enough . also from what i've read, there are provisions in the contract (aka before the event takes place) that provide monies for refurbishing the park. Gee, i wonder where that money could have went ?? Finally the damage done to the park was in no way malicious, it was weather related. when you have 10's of thousands of people walking through a park after it pours rain, of course there is going to be damage done. whole thing seems like a giant mess now...and can you really tell me what was done to the park was worse than the damage Lollapalooza causes ? but they have bigtime connections to Rahm et al, so they're cool
