I rewatched the last episode last night and caught a few things I hadn't the first time. Overall it was decent. Anyway the one thing I noticed
was that the leader of Dorne was in what appeared to be a wheelchair. I thought it was just a chair before. Is he injured or sick from
something? I know when his brother arrived for the wedding last year he mentioned his brother couldn't make it but I can't remember
why that was, plus we all know why he wanted to attend the wedding.

Pretty entertaining last night and the last scene I didn't see coming. I figured the two would meet but not in that particular way.

This season is already much better than the book. In fact its so much better I wonder if GRMM feels stupid, like he's being clowned by fan fiction that's better than anything he can come up with?

So many differences than the book and already those differences are much better than the storylines in the book.

Good, screw that guy.

Getting rid of Jeyne Pool and instead using that storyline to tie together Sansa, Brienn, Bolton, Reek, the steward kid is pure genius and in retrospect, probably has GRMM really upset cause of how blatantly better that route is compared to the convaluted walk about mess GRMM came up with for those characters in books 4 and 5.

after watching "atari: game over" it appears that double r is more interested in hanging out with name dropping douchebags who drive deloreans and visit landfills for video games than writing his own stuff.

I thought it was a great episode last night. I liked that they just focused on a few storylines and moved them ahead strongly.
Having not read the books I have no idea where this is all headed, and am looking forward to next week already.

almost none of the storylines are following the books anymore. jaime and bronn do not travel to dorne in the books, for instance. sansa is not betrothed to ramsay for another.

i was touched by the scene between stannis and his daughter. another invention by the show, i believe...but very good.

Ok, I guess I was proactively trying to keep away from spoilers but it sounds as if that isn't needed for a number of the storylines.
I have enjoyed trying to understand the Stannis character a bit more this season.

He is the only straight forward character in the story.

this episode felt really disjointed, like it kept wanting to end and then more stuff followed (this happens from time to time). but i thought the last 10 minutes were the best part.

great scene between reek and sansa though, and roose humiliating ramsay in front of her.

I liked it but agree that it was a bit disjointed. I actually wish these episodes were 75 minutes long so that they could move some of the other stories along
at the same time rather than touching on them every other week. I enjoyed the last 10 minutes also. I don't know much about the greyscale affliction so if
anyone can give me a short explanation that would be great. Obviously it is passed along via touch but other than that I know nothing. If untreated you
turn into those stone guys? Stannis' daughter was afflicted but it was stopped/cured at some point?

Yes. Yes.

IIRC people with it were sent to where Tyrion is right now to live out their days like a leper colony. They are essentially stone zombies.

I am happy Danys' story is largely complete and focus can be placed elsewhere for the remaining 5 episodes.

I wonder if Jon actually follows Tormund to Hardhome? Very intriguing difference if the show follows through with him going on that expedition.

The Winterfell scenes were alright. I'm guessing Ramsay's mistress is going to attempt to poison/assissinate Sansa somehow. What exactly do Brienne and Pod do now?

The Sam/Gilly/Stannis scene opens up the avenue for Aemon/Gilly/Sam to sail to Old Town.

We haven't seen Bran/JoJen/Meera/Hodor yet this season, right? Are they cutting out that story this season?

No Arya scenes but with Dany done I think she'll get a ton of focus the next 5 episodes.

The previews made King's Landing storyline look great. Queen of Thorns appears to be making a significant return. She was great last season so I can't wait.

I'm concern with 5 episodes in we haven't seen:
Wyman Manderly
Young Griff
Lady Stoneheart

I really enjoyed Wyman's chapters in the books. I hope they don't cut him out. Did they cut out Aegon/Young Griff? I pretty much am resigned to Lady Stoneheart not being in the show.

I don't think we are seeing Lady Stoneheart...maybe replaced with a vengeance dealing Brieane of Tarth? Yes, some things would have to be rearranged but I just don't see them doing it but with 5 ep. left maybe they do.

Definitely going to end on the Siege of Winterfell cliffhanger.

Then I disagree with their decision to exclude Wyman. He was the main reveal to readers that the North knows Starks are still alive and are conspiring to restore the Stark rule.

For better or worse (probably half and half), everything has been simplified for the HBO show.

I thought it was a little strange that the "Previously Ons" preview specifically showed Rickon walking on his escape. I thought there would be something about Rickon, someone with knowledge of where he is, showing up in last night's episode. I think it's coming.
