Atta boy! Dude its easy as fuck. Did this myself this weekend with 30 minutes labor. Took longer to get to Menard than to do the job.

well when you have a broken tire guage what the fuck are you supposed to do? thanks sears

at least theres no moisture coming out the valve, its dry...i let a little air out

i probably just need to adjust the high/low settings on the switch. ill start by draining and pumping the bladder to the right pressure, then set the switch. ace will have a shitty tire guage for $40 im sure that will work

everything set proper. at top pressure, 50psi, there are no bubbles at the valve when i squirt it. if it is leaking there, its too slow to tell

working MUCH better now. water pressure doesnt roll. pump kicks in and stays on for about 30 seconds. if i run just the shower it goes for like 2min with the pump off before it hits 30psi and kicks back in. very nice! lets hope it stays this way for the summer at least... we can put in a new tank in the fall.

Nicely done.
I just replaced my tank last weekend. Drained the tank but had no pressure behind the valve. Water in the diaphragm portion post draining. Sucks.
Easy enough replacement though.

Moen is okay -- I have one right now because I couldn't get a Delta widespread when I needed it right away. Take it from someone who's not only sold plumbing fixtures but also has installed nearly 100 faucets: Delta is the way to go, when you can. I can cite drawbacks for nearly every other common brand.

Moen is fine now, but I've seen ones in the past where the chrome finish was bubbling off when the faucet was brand new in the box (poor factory inspection).

its still working! because you cant measure the bladder pressure unless the tank is drained, i wont know for sure until i drain it again in a couple months and re-check it... but so far the pump doesnt cycle like it used to.

i can take a whole shower now without the pump kicking on. its really nice. and if the tank is in fact OK, that means it was never installed right 5 years ago... which means the pump has been cycling constantly any time any faucet was on... and we have renters all summer, like 30 people all the time using water. the well pump was put in the ground in the 80's, its really amazing it still works. poor thing.

We bought a Brizo which is a delta and I'm pretty impressed so far.

the point was i called moen and they replaced the part for free, no hesitation. did not even show proof of purchase. they are a very good company, and even if their products dont last as long as others at least they stand behind them.
