Fucking Bryant just beat out a routine grounder to third base. Hope Castro was watching that. Better score here, not going to be a lot of chances this game.

FUCK YOU DANIEL MURPHY!!!!!!!!!!

Noah was crusing and then that lollygagged throw set up a situation where Thor wanted no part of rizzo and was rattled for Montero.

The kid needs experience in terms of when to use his top wipeout pitches, but yeah sheeeeeit if he gets another groove going this is that a4mentioned 1-0/2-1

This kid seems to rattle a bit with runners or if he's not getting his way up there. Maybe he'll grow out of it.

My only fault with his day was that he got flustered with runners on. He's gonna need to learn to handle that better. That said, it was his debut right? I'm sure he'll only get better. Scary.

Fuckin Murphy man.

That lollygagged throw set him.back 20-30 pitches and killed a killer groove. He ran out of gas in the 6th/90+ pitches and the cubs lineup made him pay.... Fuckin coghlan tho that stings.

I really hope he sticks around to face teams that aren't the cubs. He's gonna be a good one.

This is the first time you've seen Alex Torres?

He has worn different variations of this protective head gear ever since he saw Cobb get nailed a few years back.

Seeing a pitcher bitch out like that kinda makes me want to see him take one right off his chin.

Yes. Same guy. The company that has the contract with MLB is terrible, so they keep trying to redesign the head gear.

There are a few other companies that have smaller, better protecting head gear but MLB players aren't allowed to use it because $$$$.

Bryant is all hustle ..gets out of the box so fast..looked good at 3rd n great at the plate. This team is poised to grab a WC spot if we can grab a legit closer .

First and foremost, big ups to Arrieta for his fantastic performance tonight. The Cub and the Cub bullpen really, really needed it.

Secondly, let's talk about Anthony Rizzo.

This guy is a OBP monster. Every time you look up he's on base. It's getting to the point where you're legit disappointed when he makes an out because it's so damn unexpected now. Not to be overlooked is the fact he plays stellar defense over at first as well. Barring something catastrophic, Rizzo is going to go down as an all time Cub great.

Lastly, thank the Houston Astro organization Cub fans because this Kris Bryant kid is"pretty okay."
