you know, i too was really depressed in middle/high school. not because of any gay insults, but because we were treated like 5 year old maggots only there to make the facultys lives hell. i remember getting my first job and people treating me like a human being... that was the sole reason i never wanted to continue to college, i was much happier in the workforce.

i think this school is going under a microscope. at least i hope so. the first thing they could try is removing all the cameras and unlocking the doors. that shit started when i was in high school, and all the bullies i knew combined didnt make me feel worse than thinking i was entering a prison every day.

lots of 12 year olds are troubled. i was one of them. never a question about my sexuality, but definitely a question about my will to live at that age. i hated people in my 'family' life at home, and hated school just as much. the problem with being 12 is youre forced to do everything everyone tells you, there is no choice and your voice doesnt matter- youre just a kid and nobody thinks your thoughts matter.

i dont think her sexuality was the real reason she killed herself, although i do have a feeling her parents acted pretty awkward when she told them... and kids are VERY perceptive to their parents initial reactions. even though her parents were "ok" with it, if they didnt overwhelmingly convince her of that then she likely felt that they somewhat agreed with all the kids in her school that made fun of her.

also, the story says her parents knew she was depressed, i hate to say it but i think this does mostly lie on the parents, even if many parents would have handled it a lot worse. but the schools track record doesnt help either...

i do know if i was that girls friend, i would have told her how amazing it is for guys to meet a bisexual girl. its every guys dream.

You're " friendly advice" for her to be a whore at 12 years old would simply lead to negative outcomes. Probably lead to her posting like a mentally challenged simpleton on a message board and not be able to his down a job for more than a few months at a time now matter how many guys she gets to "like her." This was sort of my thought as well. There also seems to be this attitude that people have to always positively accept others and when they want. I'm not liking it, it's not how life works. It happens at school occasionally and it makes no sense to me. You can't bully or make life miserable for some one but you don't have to be friends with everybody either.

I blame the LGBT community and especially the "It gets better Project". Yes , it does get better for most who come out. All people should be free to express and choose how they live but as a child you mind is not fully formed and developed. TO preach to kids to accept and choose that soon is just as bad as parents who force their children to study and prepare themselves for a certain profession. They are trying to tell us that a wholly unnatural act, is perfectly natural. No where else in nature does it exist on this level. Even though I think and belive you should be allowed to express and live as you wish, do not expect me to approve of it and let you try and brainwash others into thinking as you. If you look at the "marketing" of the LGBT lifestyle and their selling of it. Trust me that is what it is selling , it is just like the radical Islamist selling of their brand of religion. These people want us to be open ,respectful and tolerant of their lifestyle and chioses. Yet they have none for ours. They call us "breeder" and think of us as nothing more than cattle for the most part. If they ar so tolerant and open then why do they constantly attack the Mormons?
