Is Jordan Bernfield scheduled to do a 10-midnight show tonight where he can call Hawks fans stupid for staying up late to watch the game? We're already hitting the "I went to sleep because it's important that I sleep" narrative.

Tuning in out of boredom while waiting for software load.

Rampant silliness so far. Brings back memories. Geez, I miss those shows.

EDIT: well, so much for that...

Terry says the trainer was not qualified to work at any university. AD says he was a certified trainer elsewhere and was removed after he let his window to license in Illinois expired. Who is lying?

Holy fuck. Why do they insist on doing "Who gives a shit" radio? ILLINOIS sports? what the fuck? No wonder I've found myself listening to Spiegs and Goff more often.

I was in the car for about 45 mins, before and after transition. I actually felt the need to turn on Rush Limbaugh for some much needed laughs.

Fuck.

How many people live in the town of hockey stupid?

Also, for me from the town of NBA stupid... Why must the Bulls remain in NBA hell for years with no chance to get out but all sorts of teams in the West and a couple in the East can change every couple of years from good to bad and back so easily?

Dan for one ...a few weeks ago he said just watch Toews and see all he does.....after 7 years in the league he is just watching his play :?: He doesn't know shit or care about hockey even after they won Lord Stanley's Cup. Until his kid and wife showed interest in hockey Danny Boy was the biggest hockey idiot on the air...correction still is!

Toews absolutely is overrated by the hockey media. It's not that he's a bad player who people say is good, the way this or that fourth-liner is overrated, it's that he's an elite #1 center and surefire Hall of Famer who is treated as not just that but the perfect hockey player and model Canadian who can do no wrong, an avatar of Canada's love affair with hockey as nothing but risk-aversion. If Anze Kopitar were some guy from Mississauga named Andy Smith, he would be treated as if he were the son of God placed on this Earth to show us what hockey can be. As it stands, being from some Yugoslav rump state, he's "just" an elite two-way center.

You mean, if Kopitar were a Canadian he would be a beloved Canadian? Well he's not Canadian.

Well-behaved Canadians will always have their achievements amplified. Poor P.K. Subban.

So young people will be drawn to watching baseball if the NL institutes a DH ....
(said by a caller but not disagreed with in the least)

Adding a DH will create jobs and keep stars in the game longer ... I think those are mutually exclusive ideas.

I enjoyed your call into the show today.

It's a nice gig when you can speak with such authority and still not know who Tyler Seguin is. They didn't make a case against him, they just hadn't heard of him. HINT: he was the Bruins' third-line center when the Hawks won the Stanley Cup. I guess his undisciplined play wasn't a subject of the quiet reflection we were supposed to have after the win. ANOTHER HINT: he scored 77 points this year, 11 more than anyone on the Hawks.

You really should have had the opportunity to tell him this.

Edit: or make it a crap today.

That wasn't me calling, by the way. I only email. And it's not really WYC-worthy. It's not hypocrisy, just a lack of awareness of what's going on around the NHL.

EDIT: come to think of it, the Bruins may have had him on a wing in the playoffs. Then they traded him for not being enough of a two-way player. Then they missed the playoffs. The Bruins are sort of dumb.
