I've heard Dan say that his kid only plays goalie because he won't allow the boy to get hurt. Because his son's brain will one day be the tool to save the world.

Then I was thinking, what if other kids wanted to play goalie? What if other parents didn't want their kid to be hurt? Why did Bernstein get his way? Did he demand by saying "Do you know who I am?" to the coach?

I caught Pardon The Interruption the other day with Kornheiser and Wilbon. Anyway, near the end of the show Kornheiser references a
story about Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler that was reported by Don Bernstein. Wilbon quickly corrected him by letting him know it was
Dan and then refuted the entire story saying it was all bologna. It was great.

From what I have seen...some goalies are good, and have a talent...some can't skate for shit and are put at goalie. A lot of people don't want their kids to be goalie because it is expensive and as you get older parents and kids go crazy on your ass. They are needed most of the time, it's really expensive and lots of pressure. I can't tell where he'll fall or on what side he'll be on in a few years. There is an interest in hockey partially because blackhawks are good. IMO it is sort of the little man's sport, money is needed, and people who can skate can play it.

Ok. I just know that Bernstein doesn't want his kid to play any other position other than goal keep. Because he's the smart parent that doesn't want his kid's brain to get hurt. He must have demanded it in his league. He got his way. Just don't know if it's fair to others.

From what I gather, most people don't want their kid to be goalie.
