The brother in the photo is a "mystery man". I guarantee he won't be a mystery for long. His lawsuit will probably hit the box within the next week. And guess who is going to pay for it?

So there are no good cops?

Or good cannot exist where there is institutional evil?

The "good cop" is the cop who looks away rather than participating. And the cops people call "good" still defend the Anthony Abbates of the world.

So, there are no good cops then.

JORR going the FarveFan route.

The circle will be complete when he calls for the murder of all cops.

I await that moment with great excitement!

Nope.

I see cops the same way I see MLB players. The ballplayers supported a union that supported juicing, so the guys that didn't juice can't cry when they're suspected. The FOP supported Burge and Finnigan. Those supporters include the guys you call "good".

Applying the same flawed logic that a cop may use to be a racist as a pretext to smear all cops.

I didn't see this coming.

What's the flawed logic? You are the company you keep. You pay dues to an organization that defends criminal cops. How can you be "good" when you do that? Are you really telling me there wasn't a station full of goofs who hooted and laughed about that photo, including some brothers?

I wouldn't go that far, but I don't see how you could call a preist that defends a molester "good" or a cop that defends Jon Burge "good". That's just gang behavior. "He's one of ours."

They are wearing acid washed jeans and was a cell phone pic of an old pic as someone above said. Is there a limitation issue hear. Those cops from 1989 probably retired or died by now. Who digs this old stuff up to make a current issue?

Back in the 70's (lol) I used to work out at the Chicago Fitness Center on Lincoln. It was and may still be owned by a Chicago detective. They have/had pictures all over like that. I was friendly with some guys there and some shared stories with me, or didnt mind talking around me about the stories behind the pictures and things that happened the night before. Yes. most pics are from the 70's...maybe 80's

I will agree a culture exists. Might not mean most guys do bad things, but they sure arent telling you who does. Other "COMMUNITIES" do the same thing.

That is the same flawed logic that the racist cop uses.

If folks in the neighborhood won't stand up to the drug dealers, then they are all the same to me. And the thought process denigrates from there.

My intuition is that there were other cops hooting it up unfortunately.

The guy on the left is doing a twleve year stretch. He's a real bad guy. The guy on the right is trying to get reinstated. The FOP (good cops) is supporting him.
