Because Francesa is a clown. However, he's closer to Dan than Dan should be comfortable with.

This is an extremely relevant point when discussing the greatness of Lebron. He hasn't defeated too many good teams during his career. He has benefitted tremendously from playing his entire career in the Eastern Conf.

Can you name a year he went to the Finals where his team was not the prohibitive favorite to win the conference at the beginning of the season?

And his two titles came after a strike-shortened season and monumental choke jobs by Boston and San Antonio. Having said that, I agree he's become more likeable as a Cav.

Within a five-minute span yesterday, B&B claimed hockey is both an incredibly simple game that is easy to understand AND a game that is impenetrable to analysis.

They have the brains of very dumb chipmunks.

The year they beat the Pistons. That would be about it. I actually think that he has benefitted from that accomplishment about as much as he has from winning the championship. Detroit was beginning to slip and the East was weak as usual. He was credited with single handledly defeating Detroit and that particular accomplishment carried him until he actually won a championship.

2007, Pistons were the favorites.

Did the hockey comment precede a fawning paean to the rich complexity of basketball? How do I love thee? Let me count the ways that it's not even that.

Are these guys even on today with a Sox double header happening? I have to be in the car for a couple of hours starting at 3:30 and was
curious if I would have to go to ESPN or music.

Edit -- just checked schedule and it's Sox baseball until 7:30. :(

They weren't describing a paradox; they were vehemently arguing for the validity of antithetically opposed truths without being even dimly aware they were doing so.

well, that would be very chipmunky. A follow up call to them would result in them saying what I just said, unfortunately.

During game 5 of the Bulls series Timothy Mozgov was caught, on camera, sticking his hands down his shorts then sniffing his fingers and palms.
