I started a new copywriting gig this winter and it sort of burned me out on writing long posts. My hope is that I play my cards right and get more/better/closer work by fall, and then I won't have any desire to write these things up. Also, I'm probably cancelling my Gamecenter subscription for next year after thinking back on all the winter nights that I elected not to watch out-of-town hockey, so I won't really be able to keep tabs on other teams quite so well. I'd kind of like to put a bow on stuff and start focusing inordinate energy on other hobbies.

took a beating? lol that reminds me of how in nas' league the guy with 11/12 keepers on offense eeked out a 15-11 win thanks to having a slightly higher avg/obp/SLG and a couple more HR/RBI and then he was going around talking about how i just had to "take my whooping" whereas i was like "dude, i just realized that my team can hang with yours right now, let alone after i spend a season improving it.... and just wait til my pitching gets going. the only way you could beat me (offense) isn't that much better than what i've got so i come away from this being way less afraid of you than when i came in"

Stamkos and Johnson are legit, top-level elite NHL players. Kucherov has been good, but I bet the first time he's in the box this series, it's for a stupid reason.

CH is playing his usual game by declaring Bishop as a HUGE goalie.
He's a gigantic human being.....6'7", which is stupid large. But he's trying to bait the casual fan into thinking that Bishop is better than Crawford. Which is............2 cups short. He's not "Huge" in the sense of a clutch goalie.

A five-hole you can send a freight train through, yes. They also get hurt easily: the Bolts got nuked in 2014 because Bishop got hurt and they had to go to Lindback, who is tall but sucks.

It's hard to be a small goalie in the NHL today. There are also very few flat-out bad goalies in the NHL. That Crawford would ever be considered either one speaks to how the curve has been raised and flattened.
