This is another point that needs addressing too regarding the coaching ability of Thibs. There has been a lot of bashing of Derrick Rose on here. There is a consensus that has been formed regarding the play of Rose. He has been criticized roundly for his poor play. He actually didn't play bad against Cleveland. Thibs featured Rose as the No. 1 option. which meant that he believed that Rose was still sort of good. If Rose wasn't considered to be good then why was he still clearly featured as the No. 1 option by Thibs. How much of that does he own?

The backlash would have been much greater had they reached the finals. There would be no shame in losing to Golden State. You lose to Cleveland without Love, a hobbled Irving, and a poorly performing James then you should be held accountable.

Why wasn't Kyrie Irving attacked on defense? He guarded Rose with One leg and he was never attacked on defense. When people talk about adjustments this is what they are referring to. That matchup should have been exploited each and every time it was presented. That is what "great" coaches do.

You don't like Thibs and that's clear. The any argument will do approach gets thin when smeared so broadly. And the Hoiberg must lose for the team to get better reasoning is the same as when the last Iowa State coach came to town.

Paxson has achieved one thing, he's increased my appreciation for Krause.

You sound stupid with all due respect. The Bulls were a bullshit franchise at the time Paxson was hired. The Krause years brought Dalibor Bagarich, Dedric Willoughby, Fred Hoiberg, The Jalen Rose trade, Bill Cartwright and Tim Floyd as coach. I could go down the line with stupid Krause moves if you would like but Krause post Jordan stunk to holy hell. Remember Krause didn't draft Jordan either so he can't get credit for that. Who can forget the parade of Power Forwards that he drafted year after year.

Unlike some of the posters on here I have chosen to actually focus on basketball. I don't care about how he treats employees and I really don't believe that Reinsdorf would eat 9 million simply because Thibs has a surly personality. That's the talk show talking point. Instead of seeing it for the sensationalism that Bernstein intends it to be it has received its own thread. Watching the games actually requires work talking to gossipers and engaging in office cooler stuff doesn't.

People have been wrong at every turn on this one. The reality of it is that he was not as in demand as people here believed him to be. Paxson realized it and moved on. He wasn't going to get compensation for him realized it and fired him. How many people on here even realized that Vinny Del Negro has a 533 winning percentage. He actually was over .600 with the Clippers and he is regarded as a terrible coach.
It became painfully obvious that once Thibs couldn't hide behind the we lack talent thing any longer he was exposed as a coach. The communication stuff probably had a little to do with it but that wasn't the reason he was whacked. I pointed out why I think he should have been fired. It has all been basketball related.

I feel long time guy's pain. He's one of the biggest if not the biggest Bulls fans here and he's at the end of his rope. I don't blame him for getting desperate and blaming it all on Thibs after that series.

Actually I'm merely a contender. I was knocked out of the first round of Brick's tournament thus my opinions are obviously not highly regarded.

I'm far from a bitch. I don't consider myself much of an internet tough guy either. Obviously the same can't be said about yourself.

"We have enough" is the same as "we don't have enough talent". Aftee decoding Uncle Jerry's statement it has been determined that Thibodeau was fired for basketball reasons. Learn something new every day.

Yes, Thibbs fired for basketball reasons but publicly shamed for more personal reasons in the statement.

By a lot of measures Thibodeau's teams had very good offenses. Did you read Cowley today?

How are these two dildos missing the fact that when you cannot get along with multiple coaches, the coaches are not the constant in the equation?

Plenty of reasons to move along from Thibs. Even more reasons to move along from the two-headed dickbag fest. No idea why they are getting a pass after this long. They should have been crucified and left in the sun after Skiles.

Have they been talking nonsense all week? Why am I even asking that...

Dan insists that this is the last hire GarPax (or at least the Gar half) got to make.

If Thibs had to go because the office had a "dark cloud" over it, then it should have been a clean sweep. Get all the toxic people out of there and start running the place like something better than Weird Jerry's little basketball treehouse. Dan even said today that the Bulls are way behind the curve in analytics, not subscribing to a service that virtually the whole league uses, but found a way to blame it on Thibodeau instead of GarPax when that's clearly a management-level decision. The White Sox have also traditionally lagged in the data department. Ironic that a numbers guy like Da 'Dorf wouldn't embrace them for sports.

Paxson will be pushing 60 by the time Hoiberg's contract runs.

Just read that the Bears cut Pernitius Smith before OTAs.

pretty much, Bernstein is a pawn and either lacks the self-awareness or doesn't care and figures this is entertainment.
