That was awful.

He should just stay in character as a right-wing talking head.

So they replace a left wing talking head with a righty, must be taking advantage of matchups.

He isn't a righty. He was doing a character on the Colbert Report.

He isn't a righty. He was doing a character on the Colbert Report, who is a righty.

I was going off of Tall Midget, I have no idea who the guy even is.

i just have a hard time seeing colbert fitting into the role of "late night talk show host". he seems to like doing characters, which he excelled at from his days at second city through the daily show and his own show...i thought the vid was ok. he likes that dry humor a lot. but he's best when he's mocking and you can only do so much of that on network latenight in dave's timeslot.

He is a staunch Catholic so he will get bad reviews and go away.

The Jimmies aren't going to know what hit them.

Fallon can keep giggling through his set & Kimmel can keep doing his pre-scripted "dummy on the street" bits. Colbert will be fine.

Holy shit, is that stupid. Not as dumb as saying the leftist media will paint Ben Carson as a Klansman, but close.

I have some confidence in Colbert but not overwhelmingly so

He has great taste in musical acts

Legend has it that Kendrick wrote the song he performed there the day of the show and it was pretty fucking great. Cant wait to see what he does this time.

Jon Batiste isn't a guest, he's the bandleader.

I have always believed Colbert to be a quick-wit and a unique talent, but his style will never work with this format. He's too sarcastic and cynical for most of America to care.

Jon Batiste is the bandleader. However, Batiste is also the featured musical act tonight.

Other than maybe six cocks in one's ass, I can't think of anything faggier than an electronic keyboard one blows into to play. It's worse than a keytar for fuck's sake.

I find Colbert and Stewart lame. Plenty of comedic material with Obama and Hillary, too politically correct to use it.

Colbert is just awful. He was a terrible choice to replace Letterman. Too bad they didnt ask Dave what he thought.

The state of late night TV talk shows has never been worse.

Colbert is far from awful, just the show so far isn't what I would have hoped for ... though the Oreo/Trump thing was not as bad as the first hunk.

We'll see how the interview part goes next.

Late Night TV would be fucking fantastic if it was Conan on NBC and Craig on CBS ... in a much smarter paralell universe that's what's on right now. Maybe Stephen Fry at after Craig in a show built like Tomorrow used to be with Tom Snyder.

This band is the absolute drizzling shits.

Colbert is awful. No personality, not funny & not interesting or engaging. Other than that, he's fine.
