As an alumnus of UofI, Dan Bernstein requires that I complain about the black folks up there using all my tax money. Because ever person that goes to a football game at Memorial Stadium is a seed-corn buying racist.

And my favorite cheese is White American.

Wouldn't making Chicago it's own state be some messed up Hunger Games shit?

Isn't the city subtly (or blatantly I dunno) kicking out all the poor people? The chads and trixies knocking down multi-family housing to build suburban equivalent dwellings? Pricing out middle class population further and further to the outskirts?

And, shoot, if Chicago would become a state I assume the southern border would be Roosevelt Road right?

Well it would depend on the borders, wouldn't it? I think Cook County in its entirety has to go wherever Chicago goes. There are still rural areas of Cook County south of I-80. I would grab Lake County as well to maintain the border with Wisconsin and keep sole possession of Lake Michigan.

Ah, so you're talking metro-Chicago area. I thought you were referring to just the city itself.

No self respecting county outside of Cook would go that.

Where Chicago goes Oak Park, Evanston, Cicero, Des Plaines, Park Ridge etc. will follow. Much of suburban Cook County is actually denser than large swaths of the city.

Maybe 10 years ago, Rip Van Tinkle.

Now, the trend is dense buildings with 700 sq ft rental units because no one is getting married, having kids or getting a 30 year loan

He already got fired and returned home.

It was totally his bosses fault, he really had it out for him.

Never happen, but it would be interesting.

Most populated cities would then be...
1. Aurora
2. Rockford
3. Joliet
4. Naperville
5. Springfield

Exactly, the rest of the state can live out its rural Indiana fantasy without impediment.

Madison is one of my favorite cities. I love it. I have great memories from spending some time there after high school. Not sure if The Stone Hearth is still there but that place was a party. And the Gyros at The Parthenon were the best I've ever had. Both on State Street.

Welcome back.

I'm not back
This is a "drive by", it's all that BRick allowed me to do.
Under the agreement of him "running me off", which I've seen some of the best board morons mention.
Repeatedly.

The part of Cook County that's directly north of DuPage County would never go along with Chicago. They hate being in Cook County now, that's that whole "Lincoln County" movement from what, 20 years ago?

That fatass chick who almost ran for mayor basically wanted to really do this....remember, she wanted to tax people to come into the city....lol

And then she became part of the advisory of the other guy who wanted to sell 10,000% of his promises ....
